Questions about categories & searches.

I am thinking that maybe I have to many categories and am considering condensing them some.

I want to know if these search bots look at categories or not?

Is is going to hurt me to simplify my categories?

Search engines do not look at your categories list.

I do agree you have your catgeories way too defined. You categories look more like item titles to me.

I say if you don't have at least 25 items to put in a specific category it probably don't need one of it's own.
Currently you have 11 different categories a buyer has to look at to see all your bracelets. Personally, I won't bother to click into that many different categories. Many are the same category name
example -
you have
Turquoise Gemstone Bracelets TWICE
Tigers Eye Gemstone Bracelets TWICE
--- different items but the category you have 2 times.

On ebay lots of people said bots looked at the categories so I wanted to know what the story was on ecrater.

This will make things alot simpler.
