I've only been on ecrater a few months and I know many of you have been here even less time and some have empty shops. This post is directed to those who have been active for several months or longer.
What items sell successfully here and which are dogs? I'm asking more for a friend who is contemplating putting some of her inventory here. She deals in high end vintage and smallish English antiques but also has a lot of middle and lower priced vintage that is costing her money to sit idle where she is now.
Any feedback I can offer her from here would be appreciated. Does anyone have enough of a track record to respond? For instance, I can sell scarves and handbags but no one buys my books or breakables. Does anyone else have a pattern? Thanks. |

I don't think there's really a way to say what sells here and what doesn't because the sales here don't really rely on browsing traffic at ecrater.com. Sales generally come from Froogle/Google and from the store owner's own promotion.
I do have one category that hasn't sold well here (entertainment memorabilia) but I haven't promoted either and there aren't many items in it. |
