ACRead, I just enabled Google Analytics.
Now, where do I view it? How do I access it? |

You need to open an account at Google Analytics, that's where you see the reports. That's where you find the UA number to put it in your "Options" section of the eCrater admin page.
If you do it correctly Analytics takes data for a day and you can start seeing the reports after that (it should say "Receiving data" in Analytics account). |

OH, ok, I go to Google Analytics to view it, not in my eCrater account.
I've already enabled it, it was quite easy.
Thanks, as usual.

It won't work unless there is a UA# in there.
But yes it is easy and gives you a lot of info. |

Yes, I put the UA number where I was supposed to.
I just check it. It reads that I was successful and it was checking.
It won't have much to show yet. I have mostly zeros since the first of the month changeover.
At least I know I did it correctly.
That's a biggie for me, as you know.

Regarding the Google Tracking Code: Does the code need to be placed on each item that is listed? I am not sure I am understanding this. I would like to see how many hits each of my items are receiving. So, how do I go about doing this? |

The hit counter is located at the "Products" section of your admin. The numbers before the item names is it.
The hit counter has nothing to do with any code. It is automatic. No need to set anything up. It automatically resets every month on the first.
The alternative would be to use Google Analytics. That way you won't loose the info or ty to record it every month.
You do not have to add the Analytics code in every page at eCrater. The adition of the code requires editing html. Which sellers can't do at eCrater. So eCrater provides a space where you can enter the account specific portion of the code (the UA number) and enters that into the code in its system and puts it in all your pages for you (in the html). So you don't need to do anything but just:
1. Go to Options" section
2. click on the box to enable Analytics
3. enter the UA# in the box
4. save (or update, whatever that psge says)
eCrater takes care of the rest. |
