HOW DO YOU MAKE SUBCATAGORIES FROM YOU MAIN CATAGORY?

Hello all I was wondering if someone could assist me here with this. I would like to make subcatagories to my main catagories. Is that possible? If so how would I go about doing it? Thanks to everyone who could assist me with this. I'm very new and am setting up my store bit by bit learning as I go. I've found this forum to be very helpful so far! :>)

When you log into your administrative section
Click Categories, then click on the Category NAME that you want to add a Sub-Category to, then click Add a New Category
