i just added the dash between the numbers and it doen't work
does this make sense |
Try entering it just as it is without adding anything extra. I forget but it may be that the dash doesn't get added until you add another site for Analytics to track. |

Finally got it going. Analytics now working. The code I was copying into my ecrater page was short by one number. The only reason I found that out was that I took the number from the html code in analytics which had one extra number. Go figure. Both numbers are identical except it stops at the dash and has no number after that. I thought they were all run together and put the dash between the last two numbers. After checking the html I found that the numbers were not run together. The dash and the last number were not showing. Now that I have added the last number things are working fine. Thanks for the help. If I hadn't read about the number in the html I still would have been going nuts. Thanks again everyone who had an input here. WOW First sale last night, analytics working, life is sweet |

I'm also working my way through the Google Analytics and got the code in yesterday and within 12 hours I checked back and it was tracking visitors.
BUT yesterday was the last day of the month and when I went back in today it was still on March. I pulled up the calenders and clicked on April 1 and it then brought that data in for that day.
Can anyone tell me if I have to manually change the date each day or is there a way for Google to automatically do it for me All that information still looks pretty intimidating.

Can you use analytics if you are already using it on your web site? |

Yes. Just add a new "website profile" in your analytics account and use the UA# of that one in your eCrater admin page (under "options"). |

Yes that's how mine always looks. Feedback, shipping. Few more pages appear that way too. |

there is a big discussion of "not set at analytics basic / google group it seem to basically mean no data of the visitor for some reason or another. resulting from visitor not having flash install on their computer to people just really confused as to why it's happening. There is a lot of user at analytics basic / google group with the same problem we have .I am on my way back there to try to get more information.
Mugzinny
go there and put not set in search |

Please explain how to insert the Google verification code on the eCrater server to verify for Google that you are the owner of the domain/account? |

You don't enter the code. Just the UA#.
Open a Google Analytics account. Copy the UA# only (not the whole code). Open your eCrater admin page (just login). On the left side there is a link to "Options", click on it. Click on the option to "Enable Google Analytics" and enter the UA# in the box provided. Click on "update".
Wait 24 hours to see the first report if your Google Analytics account is saying"Receiving Data". |

I already signed up for Google Analytics but where should I installed the code?
I don't see anywhere in ecrater control admin for Google Analytics installation.
Thank you for your help.
