USPS is experiencing problems today. As a result the USPS rates are not available. They are expecting to fix the issue by EOD.
Please make sure you set your flat rate or weight based shipping. It serves you as a back-up. |

Based on a conversation I had this morning (Tuesday) with the USPS Internet Help Desk, this problem is fairly widespread and affects all the USPS address verification systems.
I was unable to print Click N Ship postage on Monday evening. On Tuesday morning, it appeared to be up, but attempting to enter 6 address labels resulted in 3 being rejected as bad address, plus twice it rejected my own ZIP+4 on the return address side.
All I know is, they're working on it. I just checked again, and the main CNS screen shows that the system is down. If they don't fix it by Wednesday morning, not sure how I'm going to deal with it.

If you have a PayPal account you can do your labels through their multiorder shipping. I didn't get the discount but at least I got the label done. |

Apparently PayPal takes whatever you put in (or else runs their own address verification). I hope none of these addresses are bad. I just printed the first one via PP, and will slog thru this.
USPS still down, referring people to endicia.com and stamps.com. They must have one heck of a system issue. |

Endicia and Stamps.com are both so bogged down they don't work either.
If the main USPS site is down, pay pal shipping will not work either. If I have any sales today, guess I will have to load up and drive the 12 mile round trip to the post office. |

I used PayPal yesterday and it worked for me just fine. Also today without any trouble. USPS site is still not working. Maybe PayPal has their own postage that was purchased like a business does. I don't know how but I just did a label and it was fine. |

PayPal worked OK this morning (and thanks for the link). Slow tho. Also no SCAN form ( so I asked the local postmaster if they would please acceptance scan my packages ).
from what I can see, USPS is still broken. I can't imagine what could have happened that would break something this important, for this long. |

I printed this morning with PayPal. It was about 10.00 am (central time). It worked fine. As fast as usual. I guess it is a bit of chance at this stage. It's probably made worse with the high demand on the holiday shopping season. |

Oh thank you so much for this information. I have been scrambling to find the best way to ship labels for orders from Google Check-out. So happy I happened upon this. |
