Just wondering. I am getting a lot of hits on my site but no buyers.
I just added Pay Pal today. Before now I only took checks, cash, cashier checks and money orders.
Do you think that could be the problem?
I'd love some feed back.

Most people that buy on the net buy there for 2 reasons.
#1 - fast, easy and convinent. If they can't click and pay it is no longer fast, easy or convinent.
#2 - It's a rare hard to find product that they can't run out to get in their local stores - at any price.
Why not consider taking Google Checkout? ITs FREE plus more of the world has heard of Google than PayPal. |

Yeah out of about 150 sales so far only two were not paypal. One cash and one money order. Most want to pay right away so you can ship right away!

When using Google Payment, do you have to have a merchant account? |

NOPE! I do not use adwords.

NOPE! They are a merchant account. Just like PayPal. They process the credit card payment for you. |

I am experiencing the same. Good traffic, but very few orders. Perhaps this changes soon. I'm really hopefull since I want eCrater to be my main source of income. I love this place!

Why not try Google Checkout and maybe a coupon through Google Checkout for first time buyers. |

i think one thing you have to always look at is "how long have you been with the site" and "what have i done to promote my items". i have found that through the years how many sales you make is how hard you work at promoting your items. i started selling online at the beginning of ebay and have learned alot since then. now ebay has grown so large that you only list and forget about promoting, but on alternative sites you need to work on promoting your items and the site in order to make sales. a few will just happen here and there, but for a good result you have to work for it and have patience. i have been "here" for a short period of time and work weekly on building up my inventory. i have had only 2 sales, but am not unhappy about that since I have been here a short period of time and have not had time yet to build my business here.
just my honest opinion!
Jackie

Beads, you have some really nice items but here are my suggestions ...
Crop your pictures to remove most of the background, buyers want to see the item up close. More keywords in your Title and a better description. Be specific about the beads, the colors, the materials used, the kind of clasp - use words to sell your product, make the buyer want it. Get creative!
This one for example:
http://beadsforme.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=654379
The pic can be cropped to better show the item like this:
Hope this help
