That is a new change that we have never been made aware of. Before bilingual listings were allowed as long as English was first and dominant.
I know Google has been tightening the non alpha-numeric characters in titles but I didn't know it had gone this far.
Now I wonder about other languages than Asian characters. I have books that are in foreign languages, French, German etc and only the titles of the books are in another language. Everything else in both title and description is in English. |

Being new to this platform, Im surprise as well. It will be interesting to further find out to confirm on this particular term. Not sure about other higher traffic platform. Perhaps some power seller may want to share and verify if this is true.
Since google's feed is also purpose for its search engine, one way that I can think of to verify searchable by other language, is to use google analytic. Log in and screen through the searched-keywords listed by the tools. If any foreign language found, than I supposed you are safe.
At the moment, I cant found any search terms with chinese character. However, English translation like "yue minjun replica paintings" is found in my analytic. I dont have high traffic, so I can only say search term must be english for ecrater platform. I google and its works on my store with simple keyword like "oil painting ecrater"
PS: my store already resumed, Thanks everyone and free to visit |

Who knows. There are tons and tons of results on Google Shopping with non-English in titles and descriptions, some with zero English in the titles or the snippet of description shown. It's anybody's guess apparently. |

Agree with you , I have been considering this since the start though. Only the word "reproduction" was added into the product description, which I doubt many buyers will read through..
Thanks for your advice!. |
