Happy 2010 and Thank you . This is a really generous offer. I'm still finding my way with my ecrater store. Here is my link:
Description: I sell affordable ayurvedic herbs.
http://naturalveda.ecrater.com
For this year 2010, I intend to add more products to my inventory. More variety. |

I'd like to send Rebecca the info for my ecrater store so she can add it to her list. Can someone please tell me how to determine what the URL is for your logo? Thanks.

That's not what you should use for store logo. That link leads to your admin area. Don't make a habbit of putting up links leading to your private access area, could get you into trouble if someone figures out your password.
You can find your store logo by clicking on Preview, and hence opening your store homepage, then copy the url of the image on the top left of your pages there (at the public face of your store). |

I'm so sorry acread. I did not know I'm not sure I know what I'm doing yet! just trying to get this business going after several months by posting my link everywhere I can. I guess there are limits I was unaware of.
I apologize |

When I say trouble, I don't mean trouble as in "with me" or anything. I mean like someone can highjack your store if they guessed your password. And that would be a headache to deal with.
It's not that you can't post links (urls). Just make sure they are the kind that can be used (and work to your advantage).
It's just not a good habbit to post urls of private access locations in general (areas you access after log in. I don't mean forums. I mean like your eCrater store or PayPal account etc.). At some sites it would be fine to do that because they would ask for login and password. But at some sites posting a link might give instant access to anyone who clicks on the link. It used to be that way at eCrater. Now it asks for login info.
Plus people can't see the inside of your account from outside (without your password. But don't post that ever.) You need to use the publicly accessible areas to use in your promoting which is what you find at your store site: http://Art-Objects.ecrater.com (same place you see when you click on "Preview" in your eCrater account.)
If you used the logo image from inside your admin area as an image, for example, it would not host the image at the place you post, because outside computers would not have access to the webpage. So the url you posted could not be used to put up your logo image at the website the seller who started this topic in any case. |
