Will it then fill in the same box in google or paypal? Will it appear on the order I get from eCrater?

(sorry, as a software tester I gotta ask those questions)

TyreeTrading - well since google checkout has no such area I am GUESSING the answer is NO it will not go over to the payment side and it will only appear on the ecrater order in your ORDER section.

I got a PP order last night with a nice long note attached. I don't know if it is the usual message through PP or from ecrater as I get notes frequently on PP orders. I think buyers like to leave notes, like "if this item is out of stock cancel the order" type of thing. I will have to remember to be looking for those on GCO orders also now.

This is always the way it's been (payal).... I'll have to go look in order to see if anything changed. My concern is Customers add the comment BUT we never see this ecrater part if they pay via google. Then when I ask for the info... they get ticked & say "I added that in checkout".
HOPEFULLY we will be able see this info in our orders area in admin even IF they choose GC.

Will have to check this out more.

BT... can you ask if this info is visible to us if GC is used?

Oh I like this Very Happy though I use paypal, I also use money order and was wondering how I can have customers give me a little more info. on certain things when ordering without going through the trouble of contacting me separately Very Happy This would make things much easier Very Happy

This is wonderful! I had a customer who became so confused and she was furious with me because she couldn't figure out how to pay with alternative payments, even though I led her step by step on how to do it.

This will help a lot. Thanks.

BAD NEWS

the message left by the customer is never seen by the seller .. anywhere ... if the customer pays using Google Checkout!

Someone canceled an order AND left negative feedback because there wasn't a section to describe how to inform me what they wanted to order! I hope this helps buyers!

You should have contacted ecrater about having it removed if that's the case.

I have the same problem that customer have canceled for that same reason... I don't think I got negged for it but if I did... ecrater removed it.

Also.... you may want to put your personalizing instructions closer to the top of the description. Getting customers to read the full first paragraph is hard enough LOL

Anyway.... if they use the Alternative checkout with the above page & choose Google checkout.... you will have some Ticked off customers IF they add info here & then you send them an email asking for the info again. Be aware of that unless Ecrater is working on this problem.
