there is a payment system there (I signed up when I was adding my store there) let me go over & see what it was called..
It's called payvment... I can't remember how I set it all up...
this is for a store on facebook.
As for facebook charging... that's a rumor that is not true. I found it on snopes. |

Correct, they have a beta version of stores that you can sign up for. I started doing it yesterday but got hung up on some things. Supposedly you can set it up to sell items from your store directly through facebook. Unfortunately, some sellers that are set up there don't seem to want to share the "how to" information and the videos that facebook has as tutorials need an update for a browser I don't want. Every time I "update" something, something else gets hosed. So anyone?
PS: I friended everyone on this post and so far I've gotten about 1/2 dozen friends back? What up? Would appreciate the "friends". |

Thanks Homebodies - I just "liked" you!
I can't figure out the Payvment and adding the store feature to your page. I thought I did and it should show "SHOP" at the top of my wall but it doesn't. It shows >> (arrows) and if you click on that the store will be there. If that's how it works it sucks! Anybody else tried it yet? |

I saw that too, looked interesting until I saw you had to have PayPal.
I only use GCO and am fine with that |

Yes, I started a Facebook fan page for our store not long after opening the store itself. Our facebook page is: www.facebook.com/generalstoreonline
Hope to see you there! |

I think I did this right

I've been at this for hours and I'm still not sure what I'm supposed to click to fan others. Lots here to learn but I can see being on FB can be fun, addicting, good for business, and a way to bump into people you haven't seen in years |

Is there a way to promote your store on Facebook without having a Facebook store?
Facebook intimidates me so much I log on and log off instantly. I stumbled on an old roommate who responded by asking me to be her friend. I don't know how to accept so I guess I've lost track of her again. |
