I just noticed that in one category, the weight is too high. I use calculated shipping. There doesn't seem to be a way to change this using Global Editor, is there?

No, unfortunately. That feature has been suggested as an enhancement to the Global Editor: http://community.ecrater.com/viewtopic.php?t=25978
