I FINALLY got the Ecrater Widget to work on my FB page!
see it at http://www.facebook.com/businessesgrowingtogether

If you already "like" us... click on the Welcome link over on the left.

I have it at the bottom of that front page.

I know you will ask how.... i can't do a step by step BUT use the iwipa app to set up your landing page... when you do the edit, use the "source" button & add the flash code for your widget.

I would gladly set one up for you BUT I charge $150 for a single landing page on your fan page. Took me a while to set it all up but I think it works great!!!

The widget scrolls nicely but I couldn't click on the products.
I'm not on Facebook myself so I can't sign in.
Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you for this info. I am new to Facebook, but think I have created a Facebook page for my eCrater stores. I put an eCrater widget on the Welcome tab in there.

I would really appreciate it if some peeps could go click on it and click LIKE it, because after 25 of those, I get an url for it. I think!

Here's a tinyurl to the Welcome page - it takes a second to load - please tell me if it works for you! This is great info ...

http://tinyurl.com/6fro6m8 << This takes you to the Welcome Page, then you click the Browse Our Items tab to see the widget (if it still works!)

I am trying to figure out how to add the widget to FB and I am stumped. I clicked on some of the links here and I can't see the widgets. Is there any step by step advice? I also tried to add a "welcome" tab. Can't find it and I searched the FB help. Maybe I am overlooking something.

I've clicked on the links and haven't found the widget on Businesses Growing Together anywhere. I did finally find the widget on Wilbere's page, but it's hidden in my opinion and when I did find it, it didn't scroll.

Could there be a difference in IE and FireFox browsers? I'm running the latest FireFox.

2nd question, is it available for both business and personal facebook pages or just business pages.

Hi Shiela, thanks for visiting. It's working again now, scrolling, too. At least I see it that way on Firefox.

I have been trying to figure out how to get my widget to work all day using the iwipa app. First, I tried using the html widget but it does not work for me, it says free online store and links to the main ecrater store. So I have tried the Flash widget and it does show up but no links to individual patterns. So instead I arranged everything so that people can click on the tabs and it will take them right to my store here. I also figured out how rename the iwipa tab. Instead of Welcome, it now says click on my Ecrater and Ravelry stores. Then it takes them to the iwipa page that I created. Take a look - go to www.facebook.com/lastade, then click on the ecrater/ravelry tab on the left.

To change the iwipa app tab text go to the edit page button at the top right of your page. Then click the apps button on the left of this page. Click edit settings. You will see a custom tab that you can add the text of your choice.

Looks great to me, with the fast links right over to your stores. If you want to add or go back to the widget approach, I had the same problem above. Try this for the tab that you want to house the widget: paste the widget html javascript code (not flash) in a source box > Edit Page Content > Settings > Main Configuration > then check the box for "Run in iFrame". That seemed to turn on the widget, so it started scrolling. Shocked
