The guy got a lot of money for people trying to buy their way to heaven.

Some guy was saying he would tend you pets after the wrold ends - he did it online and made some $100,000

I'm personally looking forward to the next end of the world - 12/21/2012

It was supposed to end at every time zones 6 pm but New Zealand was still intact when I went to bed. Funny that it is only in the US that they were making a big deal of it. I wouldn't have heard about it if I didn't get US news channels.

Friends in ICEland were laughing about it for weeks. It's been all over their news too.

Yesterday at church, our pastor mentioned that something must have happened since an entire section of pews were empty. (normally they are full!)

The local news has interviewed one man who closed his business because he believed the end was near. He's hoping his customers will return.

A Reverend made a decent purchase (cooking related item) from me on this site Saturday afternoon, so at least one guy thought he'd be around for a Memorial Day cook-out.

What's so funny is that the people who believed this crap have obviously not read the Bible.

Well, around here one thing DID disappear! The billboard announcing the rapture!

I guess if they REALLY believed the world would end, they wouldn't have minded paying the monthly rental rate. Smile

I saw on the news this morning he has decided it will happen in October. He was so upset it didn't happen on time that he and his wife spent the night in a hotel. So says the news.
Regarding Religion in general, I don't care which Religion folks follow, as long as they actually make an effort to obey the rules, follow the teachings, be decent people. Don't be fake or phoney about it, make the effort - don't pretend.
Most folks are twice a year believers... Christmas (about Santa and how much the gifts cost, of course) and Easter (about chocolate rabbits and coloring eggs) Laughing

Yea... I was worried when I was still here at 7 pm (mtn time)... My daughter said... "if I was left behind, I don't know what more I can do" LOLOLOL
When it says "in the blink of an eye"... that does NOT mean months of advanced notice Smile
