I make beautiful & useful handcrafted items for your home. Especially for Christmas, there are unbreakable reusable ornaments. Be sure to look at the very unique 3D birds: Dove, Bluebird & Red Cardinal for your tree. |
Just curious is anyone getting sales on FB?
I took a look at your store, and I hope this is not indicative of all the stores on FB, but it seems that other sellers are friending with you, instead of average consumers. |

I have both a personal and a business facebook page. I try to get my personal friends and their friends to sign up as friends on my personal page and then actually go looking for sewing type people to like my business page and also ask friends if they would like to like me. I purposely don't ask lots of other sellers to like my business page (except back when I was trying for my first 25 likes so I could get a shorter url). As I generally don't want tons of unrelated advertising of things on my business page. Happy to have them on my personal page so my friends can take advantage of my friends who are sellers what they have to offer.
With the FB button now on our ecrater listings that gives us an option of where we post (advertise) the listing, I try to think through where might be the best place to show the listing. I think it is great that we here support each other, but we do have to think about how we are doing that and where is the best place for our listings. I have several sewing sites that I occassionally share a listing with so as to not be seen as spamming the site. I also share sewing related tidbits on those sites so that they know I'm a contributor as well not just hunting for cuatomers.
Still feel like there is so much more to do though with FB. Always so much to do and so little time. I do think sales are up a bit since I started using FB. One listing that I advertised on FB sold within 2 weeks for good money and I am pretty sure it was directly related to FB. |
