OK, I guess I took it out of context. Sorry |
Oh, no, no need to be sorry. I don't really know what the question was and I thought I was answering it; but, like I said, probably should have just kept my mouth shut!! |

Yeah, all of my ecrater stores show up in the uk site and I never enabled them for the UK site either. I've never even toyed around with the UK site just to see how it works as I have no interest in shipping internationally, so that can't be an accident on our parts. Ecrater must automatically submit the stores to the UK site and you have the option to activiate them or not. It justs shows that I have zero items between all of my categories too. |

I see that now. It isn't so much it is being submitted, as it is that the URL ending in co.uk has the normal store attributes, but the listings are all missing.
What that means, is that the UK version of the marketplace only contains those items with the seller's UK store activated. I would activate my UK store, but only if I could accept payment via GCO (which requires a GBP based checking account, which none of the local banks offer). I do not want to use PP to accept those payments. So I'm basically stuck. |

Seems to me, its unfair. That if you want to opt out of the uk you should be able to. I didn't even know it went into action and I got an order for a book to uk with ship for 3. So now I have an unhappy customer and Im trying to learn, thanks to this topic; How to opt out. Im set up for fixed ship and not the matrix. I like the fixed pricing. Im really in a mess right now. |

Has anything changed with regards to GCO and UK? Just noticed the news tab announcing paypal and Google available for the uk side. Is this just an official announcement of what most everyone knows already, or is it indeed now possible to accept GCO for ecrater.uk? |

My latest news tab is from June announcing that we can sign up for AdSense. Where are you seeing this? |

Well I've been away a while, it's news to me It's actually in the welcome screen announcements, not the "news" tab. |

Well, if you've been away a while, maybe you've missed this?

The UK stores have been turned on for everybody and you need to turn it off if you don't want one. Yours is active with no payment offers other than money orders and cashier's checks, so I think maybe PayPal is still the only option for online payments.
(Not trying to sound bossy, maybe you already know about it, please don't take offense.) |

Yep, we activated the store last winter (or whenever Uk was first introduced) and started with Paypal and (we thought) GCO, but when it became obvious GCO wasn't happening, and Paypal became, well Paypal, it switched to more of a standby--good advertisement for the main store, so we kept it. Anyway, was hoping this announcement meant something new with the GCO/UK situation. Guess not. The world keeps turning. (insert apathetic smiley here) |

Sorry, the recent change caught a lot of people by surprise and I was afraid you might be one! No offense intended. |
