I know that it is required to use a different email address for a new store.

Does it have to be a different email from one that I currently use (on my 2 stores, which both use the same email address) or an email address that I have never used to create a new store ?

OK, so if I used email address #1 to open my first store, and email #2 to open the second store, then changed the email on the second store to #1, I have to get an email #3 to open a third store.

Have I got that right ?

You can't ever change store #1 to the same email as store #2
YOU can use the same email for the orders to be sent to
but the registration email can only be changed by the ecrater team and it must be different for each store.
if you lose/forget your password it will be sent to the regristration email NOT the email you have for orders to be sent to,

Thanks. That is a subtlety that has never been clear (that I could find).

Which email is used for the Community notifications (the one that I can change or the one that the team has to change) ?

all emails ... except orders (those you can specify where) ... are sent to your registration email address.
IF ecrater ever sent out an email (other then for an order) that is where it goes .. to the email used to register your store. Please note that I can only think of ONE email in 7 years that ecrater sent out to sellers - not including emails that you may or may not request from this forum).

forum notifications, if you have that turned on go to your registration email address.

I ALWAYS tell people in you don't have access to the email you signed up your store with you should request it to be changed BUT keep in mind you can not have it changed to an email used in another registration.
