Are there seller fees when something sells? Do buyers pay fees? |

There is no seller's fees. You only pay fees to PayPal and Google Checkout. |

Where it says this: [/quote]Get a free online store and list all your products in our 100% free online marketplace Quote: | . What else do the need to say. You may have looked at the page, but you certainly didn't read it. |

HechtoHouse, let me try to make this as clear as I can. eCRATER is a free site. There are no fees charged to sellers to list or sell and there are no fees charged to buyers. NONE! |

Hechtohouse, why don't you list something? The best way to see how things work is to take the plunge. You sound fearful. Jump. There are no contracts. If you don't like it you can close your store with 2 clicks of your mouse.
All the people who have been responding to your questions have been here years. We wouldn't have hung on so long if eCRATER was saying it was free but charging us after we signed up. I've been here for 6 years and never paid them a dime. They have never asked for a penny. Even when sellers thought we could discourage some of the riffraff by paying a monthly fee, the response was that eCRATER would always be free. |

Perhaps it says more about the greedy companies who try to bleed you dry with fees. I have had a lot of communication with the owner of eCRATER over the years and am impressed by his integrity. |

no doubt. I am just puzzled how this place exists. It can't be cheap to do this. Not my affair, just curious...... |

and have never paid a fee to ecrater! I would pay about $65 per bike if I sold on ebay. |

That's the beauty of ecrater! FREE beauty lol. Whenever we first opened our store on ecrater my mother thought for sure that their must be some kind of hidden catch to selling here. She thought there was no way that a selling site like this could be completely free but, we took the plunge and decided to test it out anyway and have never been charged a dime.
Alot of the sellers do help ecrater to make money by signing up for what's called Google Adsense. What happens is that Google takes advertisements created by large companies that are paying Google to place their ad on a website where Google feels they will get alot of customers clicking on them and going to their website. They place a small advertisement banner for that company on your ecrater store at the bottom of each one of your item listings and, when a buyer who is browsing your store is intrigued enough by an ad to click on it , ecrater makes a little money because they are allowing Google to use their space for advertisements. Hope that made sense. Alot of sellers have signed up for this just to help out ecrater. Also, if the buyer clicks on the ad directly from within your store (not through finding your item in the ecrater marketplace or google search) you get a few cents per each click too. It not only provides ecrater with some cash to help them afford to keep the site running, it can add a little extra income to your pockets too. That is one way that ecrater makes money. Plus, they also have paid featured ad spots that you can buy on the main erater website page. |
