Audio Gasoline is the premier destination for the world's most discriminating record collectors. We are operated by collectors, for collectors; this applies to both the archival-grade quality of our products and our professional level of customer service.
We specialize in Lo-Fi, DIY, Underground Rock including Punk, Garage, Original Hardcore, Surf & Rockabilly as well as relics from Turntablism, Hip Hop, Roots Blues, Old Folk, Groovy Jazz or anything cool. We also stock local bands from here in the Pacific Northwest, including the hubs of Seattle, Portland & Olympia. Emphasis is placed on rare records in collectors grade condition, including first pressings, limited editions, color vinyl, indie labels, private pressings, imports, foreign pressings, warehouse finds and 'new old stock'.
Our selection is updated regularly, as new titles are continually acquired. The quality of our records is our first priority, because even a common title can be hard to find in pristine condition. We're picky about what we stock, and only sell items that grade to VG+ or better. The rarity of an item is also important, and we are constantly hunting & sourcing the hard-to-find titles that collectors need.
For a lot of the music we carry, the only way to get it is through these original records. You will not find them digitized for download, and many were not even made into CDs. Most of these items were pressed in limited quantities, and many were only in production once. We view these items as musical artifacts, and take pride in our role in helping to preserve them. We are only one link in this chain, and you are the next. We always enjoy dealing with serious collectors who appreciate quality and see the value in what we do.
We place emphasis not only on the record vinyl itself, but the covers, picture sleeves, inserts and all of the extra items that can come with records as well. Anything that was issued with the item when it was new is important and should be present. We grade these components as well as the vinyl, and work to maintain the integrity of the entire package.
We look forward to providing you with some of the best "bragging pieces" in your collection. Please contact us anytime for help sourcing your most elusive titles at audiogasoline@comcast.net
Keep your needles sharp and your records clean,
-The Audio Gasoline Team

From The 'Recent Arrivals' Crate
VG++/VG++ (Record/Cover)
The Crawdaddys
'Crawdaddy Express'
Voxx Records VXM 200.001
LP Released in 1979
This is a very rare record! The Crawdaddys are generally considered responsible for ushering in the garage rock revival of the early 80s. They have a pure unadulterated early rock n roll sound, and are reminiscent of very early rockabilly greats like Gene Vincent, Bill Haley or Chuck Berry. Truly freakin awesome. And this is an original US first pressing from way back in 1979; please check out all the pics and know that you are getting a true artifact of underground rock history. This copy looks absolutely amazing; it came from a collector, and deserves an honored spot with a new collector.
Tracks:
A1 I'm A Lover Not A Fighter
A2 Can't Judge A Book By Looking At The Cover
A3 Down The Road Apiece
A4 Let's Make It
A5 Rainin In My Heart
A6 I'm Movin On
A7 Mystic Eyes
A8 Oh Baby Doll
B1 Bald Headed Woman
B2 Come See Me
B3 Got You In My Soul
B4 Times Are Getting Tougher Than Tough
B5 Down In The Bottom
B6 Crawdaddy Express
B7 I Wanna Put A Tiger In Your Tank
The grade of the record is VG++, with only a couple of very light surface-only marks that do not affect play. The cover grades to VG++ with only two tiny corner dings and one very light soft bend on one corner; these are only noticeable under close scrutiny, and it has bright artwork & no splits, tears, stains, stickers or cut outs. An incredible copy, and definitely one for the collectors.
Only one copy available. Click on the photo above, or visit us now at:

From The Collectors Corner
VG++/VG++ (Record/Cover)
Deke Dickerson & The Ecco-Fonics
'2 Smash Hits'
Rock n Roll Inc. R&R INC-717
Single Released in 1998
Triple Autographed
This is a rare little record, made in Spain and very seldom seem for sale. This is a very early release with The Ecco-Fonics, and both cuts are exclusive to this record and were never released anywhere else. This copy is even more special because it is FULLY AUTOGRAPHED by the FULL BAND! To be fair, Deke maintains a revolving line-up of musicians in the Ecco-Fonics, and the version represented here is Wally Hersom on bass and Sugarballs on drums (aka, Chris Sprague). Wally was a central figure in the rockabilly revival of the 90s; he was an original member of Big Sandys Fly-Rite Trio and recorded many rockabilly & country swing records at his Wallyphonic studio. This is an amazing artifact of modern lo-fi jump & jive, and must be a one-of-a-kind with all the signatures.
Tracks:
A Tulsa Baby
B Look At That Moon
The grade of the record is VG++ with a couple of light surface-only marks that do not affect play, and looks like its only been out of the sleeve a few times. The cover grades to VG++ with only one very soft bend and no real signs of storage or handling, with bright artwork, sharp corners and no splits, tears, stains or stickers. The signatures are bright & crisp on the front of the sleeve. This is a fantastic copy, and definitely one for the collectors; the record itself is not seen very often, and copies with the signatures of both Deke & Wally have got to be down-right rare.

New Old Stock From 1994!
Mint/Mint (Record/Cover)
Man or Astroman?
'Your Weight On The Moon'
One Louder Records Louder4
EP Released in 1994
Limited Edition Pressing on Silver Vinyl
This is an incredibly rare piece of surf-rock history. Only released in England, this is a super-rare copy on silvery-gray vinyl. It is a very unique color, and has a sheen like brushed aluminum. Hard to convey the color with words and a photo, but these silver copies are as rare as the glow-in-the-dark copies. This is NOT part of the recent round of re-issues, but old store stock that has been sitting on a shelf, hidden, for the last 18 years. I know it sounds too good to be true, but this is the real McCoy, and still looks brand new.
Tracks:
A1 Rocketship XL-3
A2 Secret Agent Conrad Uno
A3 Electrostatic Brain Field
A4 Shockwave
A5 Taser Guns Mean Big Fun
B1 F=GmM(moon)/R2
B2 Space Patrol
B3 Happy Fingers
B4 Destination Venus
B5 Polaris
The record grades to Mint, unplayed. In fact this copy would be still sealed, but it was not issued in shrink-wrap. It came in a regular 3-mil poly outer sleeve (like many imports). The cover is also Mint, with high gloss, sharp corners and no wear of any kind. This belongs in the hands of a collector.

NM/VG++(Record/Cover)
The Automatics
All The Kids Just Wanna Dance

More rare original Portland punk! This record has been repressed at least 3 times, but this is from the very first run on bright clear bubble gum pink vinyl, and limited to only 500 copies. Silver labels with red text. Classic power-pop style PNW punk, and includes members of The Epoxies and Spider Babies. The fold-over cardstock sleeve is printed inside with photos, lyrics and band info. Includes the original mail order insert from Mutant Pop Records. Incredibly rare, this is a beautiful copy.

Fan Club Pressing, Demos and Alternate Takes
NM/NM (Record/Cover)
The Mummies
Tales From The Crypt
This is a very hard to find fan club issue, with white labels and plain white back cover. A superb collection of rarities, alternate takes and different mixes. And this is a true first pressing with paste-on cover art, not the cheap re-issue with a fuzzy printed cover; the cover art is printed on glossy paper and glued onto a plain white sleeve. Super scarce, and this copy looks fantastic!
Tracks:
A1 Your Ass (My Face)
A2 Red Cobra #9
A3 Land Of 1000 Dances
A4 That Girl (Tribute To Shane White)
A5 Victim Of Circumstances
B1 She Don't Care
B2 Speed Track
B3 Wild Mutha
B4 F.U.C.K.
B5 Shut Yer Mouth
B6 Hairy Mairy
The grade of the record is NM, and looks completely unplayed. The cover is NM, with the tiniest ding on one corner that is only noticeable under close scrutiny; it has bright artwork, sharp corners and no splits, tears, creases, stains or stickers. A beautiful copy, and belongs in the hands of a collector; they just do not come around very often in such pristine condition.

A2 Mysterious Rangers 4:03
A3 White Man Style 3:56
A4 9-4-9 5:10

Turntables By The Bay, Volumes 1-3
Complete Turntablism Compilation Series
Released in 2001, Turntables By The Bay was the premier compilation series used to capture the exploding turntablism movement in and around San Francisco. There were explosions of the scene in many cities at the time, and several compilations documented the field, but this series was the only one to target such a specific artistic base.
In the first volume, we have a collection of the very best DJs from the area, including DJ Shadow, Peanut Butter Wolf, D-Styles, Mix Master Mike, Eddie Def and the Invisibl Skratch Piklz. It combines both studio & live recordings, and this was the first appearance on vinyl for 9 of these 10 songs. Many were never released again. Volume 1 is the definitive B-Boy set, with big meaty beats and bragadocious scratch routines designed to make a crowd jump.
The second volume has 8 more tracks that were never released on vinyl before, and moves from a Big Beat flavor to a more down tempo Trip Hop type of feel with smooth groove beats and routines built on finesse. Recordings here date back to 1996, and include both studio and live tracks. Some of the most prolific DJs in the field are here, including Eddie Def, DJ Quest, Live Human and the best crew to ever bastardize a mixer, The Invisibl Skratch Piklz.
In the third and final volume of the series, another 14 rare tracks of scratch genius are unleashed upon you. This installment takes a more progressive approach than the first two volumes, choosing instead to showcase the cutting edge of the field at the time. Routines on this record are the most technically involved and technologically advanced of any in the series, incorporating digital devices and invented moves into the mix. In retrospect, now that it is over 10 years later, this record effectively shows the evolution of the Turntablism genre from an analog-based format to the modern digital-based work that we see today.
All three volumes came from the same collector, and have never been used by a working DJ; all three are incredible archival-grade copies. This series has never been re-issued, and still stands as one of the most prominent compilations of the era. Many tracks from this series are still not available anywhere else, and all three records are pure musical artifacts documenting a ground level organic movement within the Hip Hop world.
For sale individually, only one copy of each is in stock. Click on an image above, or visit us now at:

Cisco Houston

This is a hard to find album, and especially in fantastic condition like this. This is an original copy on Folkways; the cover is a heavy black sleeve with the artwork pasted on. This is a complete set, comes with the original 4-page booklet with photo, lyrics, liner notes and biographical information, and even still has the original cardboard divider. The cover is still in its original shrink-wrap. This is a very scarce album, and this copy looks incredible.
Tracks:

The insert is also VG++, and the spine-crease on it has not even been broken open. This is the single nicest copy of this album I have ever seen, and will probably never see another one so great.
