Is there anything that can be done about a competitor harassing me? He is clicking to buy things then emailing to cancel. In the email he tells me to get out of the business and I'm stepping on his toes. (I left out the vulgar stuff)
Any way to put immediate payment required so this clown can't do that? |

Having immediate payment won't help your problem since there isn't a crowbar long enough to reach through the internet into someone's wallet. If it is a competitor here on ecrater let the ecrater team know and show them the emails, etc. you recieved. You may think you have the problem, but anyone that does that stuff has more problems than you can imagine I would suspect. If they are off site, I doubt that there is anything you can do other than ignore them. |

If you set your store to Google Checkout only, you could have a form of immediate payment required. He could still (on his own initiative) cancel the order within the 15 minute reviewing period, but once that has passed, the order would be chargeable. YMMV on this. Personally, if I had a buyer behaving such as this, I would likely begin refusing the orders.
Considering how many orders you have had, might be nice if you added a few missing graphics to your store front page. |

Forward the emails and false sales orders to eCRATER admin attn Dimitri. He can block someone who is being abusive. He needs the whole thing so he can follow the trail back to its origin (don't remember what that is called). It happened to me once ages ago. |

Probably you mean the whole email plus the IP address (which is found in the order information) to block the IP? |

I don't understand people who get online and sell merchandise and get upset that someone is selling the same thing and then attack that person.
Who ever that is emailing you they need to get out of the business because they have target and walmart to fight with next.
Some seller's need to stop
Ignore them if you can. |

It is the abusive emails admin will want. There is nothing abusive in an unpaid order unless they included an abusive message in the notes box. |

Actually if the IP addresses match between the order and the email, that proves the same person is doing this.
We've had to block IP addresses from our other site because they were attempting a denial of service attack. It's fairly simple to do, but the downside is if they use a dynamic IP then you have to block a range, which can shut out other legitimate users.
Another tactic is to report them to their ISP or the place where their email is hosted. Sometimes that works, especially if it is a smaller company. |

Yes thats it, report to your sales site with an email with his email, then report to his ISP with his email as well.
I think a straight email unless it becomes terroristic is not illegal, but it seems once they start clicking on things to interfere with a site the law can have a say in it. I don't really know, but reporting to his ISP is a really good idea. |

Interesting. They were not suspended when I typed my response earlier in this thread. |

Maybe the cubfan was the guilty party or was selling counterfeits. |
