In addition to my store I also maintain a store for my employer, they want to buy out my inventory. Is it possible for me to transfer my listings to their store? If so how is it done? |

Generally one item at a time. Copy it to the new store and then delete it IMMEDIATELY from the old. You are not allowed to have the same listing showing in two stores and I suspect that means two stores owned by two different people but run by one. |

You can also put one store on hold while you make the transfer. The reason I suggest this is that when I did transfers I accidentally deleted the wrong item quite a few times. I moved items category by category and deleted the category after double checking I hadn't screwed up. |

Thanks for the replies, how do I go about moving my listings over to the other store? Is there a simple way to do this or do I have to make completely new listings? |

Because of the recent change to the way that admin URLs are formatted, you need to use two concurrent/different browser sessions, one for each store. |

I would just open 2 windows and copy then past the info. Other then finding the pics it should go pretty quick. |

You might contact the eCrater staff to see if this might be an option for a fee. Have no idea if it's an option, but I would think it would be worth asking. |

Easiest way for me ...
I open firefox and log in ecrater for one store
I open IE and log in ecrater with the other store
I copy and paste from one to the other.
I already have the pictures saved on my computer since they are on my product pages.
No fast and easy way. Just one at a time. |

Do you intend to move everything from sawparts or just some items?
Do you intend to close the store sawparts?
I'm asking because if you merely want to change the name of your store you can pay eCRATER a small fee to do that for you. You have 378 items in your store so moving all will take some time.
If however you are opening a second store and just want to move some items to it and maintain both stores then of course you can more easily move the inventory.
NOTE: If you are only moving part of your inventory, consider whether you want to move the majority or the fewest of your items. |
