can we get a definition of what "marketplace" is?
is this buyers searching directly from ecrater homepage, or is it the google shopping feed? |

it does say that if we have adwords all set up, which i assume ecrater has been paying for, like if you have a 1 cent bid per click on google shopping, that now you will pay the 1 cent.
im assuming that currently a buyer who clicks in from google shopping is considered a marketplace buyer, since they do not directly enter your store.
now on may 1 when a google shopping buyer clicks on your link to buy they will enter your store directly and you pay google adwords. |

I saw this topic by Periwinkles early in the day. And it was the 1rst thing in mind after reading the news of the fee.
I don't have problem with final fees. I don't have problem with non-payers in 100% free sites, but now it is different. I want to know how is going to be handle the fee with marketplace sale when we have an order from non-payers.
To eCrater one suggestion. Seriously somewhere in the principal page add the commission fee thing.
One more thing like I said before about other marketplaces adding fees. It will be nice to know about it with 1 month at least. Also it will be nice to know something about the Adsense thing because I saw some sellers asking about it. |

This marketplace cost will not be imposed on shipping
So eCRATER will now go through the phase of $1 sales with $99 shipping |

Any ideas on what the following means?
eCrater Quote: You can minimize your marketplace traffic by selecting "Send minimum buyers from the marketplace". This is a feature that will be introduced in a few days. |

|

Just so I am understanding this correctly (and I know this may sound silly). If buyers purchase something directly from the ECrater Marketplace there will be a 2.9% fee that the seller will have to cover, but if a buyer purchases directly from the seller's individual store then there will be no Marketplace Fee? |

The 2.9% (or some part of it) is towards marketing for the Marketplace. |

While everyone is focusing on the 2.9% marketplace fee, there is something important that isn't being talked about. I received an email copy of what was in the original announcement. Item IV states ...
Quote: | In the next few months we will also be adding some new payment options, custom domain support and will be launching a mobile version of our website. |
That has me very interested. |

-
1- non paying buyers - is the 2.9% fee after the purchase
or after payment rec'd?
2- at times I have international orders - they pay - but 'never' include
the shipping fee -- so I have to refund them their $$ -
and send them an invoice for the correct amount due -
then they never come back to finalize their purchase
-- Q- if the 2.9% fee is applied to my acct - and I have to refund
their money - because they didn't include the international shipping fee
will the 2.9% be refunded to me?
3- if I do a special listing for someone - and send them the link
to their listing - will there be the 2.9% fee?
Thks much in advance for your reply |

|
|
I understand starting May 1st, 2013, there will be a "2.9% marketplace fee", for those store items sold successfully via the eCrater's marketplace homepage.
What happens when my customer wants to return the sold item/s for a full refund? Assuming that I authorizes the return and gave full refund, is there a way for me to get the "marketplace fee" back?
Thanks. |

cosmicray, you are right we focus in the 2.9%.
About the "new payment methods". What is going to be? Cash/Western Union? Propay? Moneybooker/Skrill? Wepay? |

Can someone explain to me what marketplace means?
I'm perfectly fine with the fee - just want to know how that term is defined.
I will admit I do nothing (beyond email siggies) to promote and the majority of my recent sales are from the marketplace.
So - can someone explain it to me, please? And of course TIA!! |
Marketplace orders originate from the main marketplace www.ecrater.com.
In the came_from column in the orders section in your admin tool, these are marked as marketplace.
