|
|
Good morning all,
After having been away from Ecrater for quite a while, I am thinking of reopening our store, Giftcentral. Seems many of the successful sellers who were here during my previous stint at Ecrater have either closed up shop or have moved on to other things.
I was just wondering how sales are going for folks these days, considering the economy?
Thanks
Derron and Dawn

Slow but steady but, it's been slow all over the internet (not just on ecrater) here lately after Google started making all of those changes last summer. |

Thanks for the info. Just read somewhere that Google Wallet is going away at the end of the year. Looks like I have a bit of catching up to do. |

Yup, no more google wallet and no more drop-shipping. Pics should be 800 pixels on one side. Oh, and fees for marketplace sales. Those are just comes to mind. But, eCrater is improving and hopefully these changes will help us all out in the long run. |

Hello
I agree sales are low right now on most website but it should start picking up again soon also with kids going back to school.
Off topic:
I hope that drop-shipping rule apply to people who sale used merchandise for other seller, there are a lot of website with other who sale merchandise from home and ask other seller to help them sell it but take photo their self and have other people sell it for them but you would never know it. |

Thanks again for the info. I did see somewhere about the fees for sales coming from the market place area. The rate seems more than reasonable to me. I have not seen the policy on dropshipping though. I shall do some more reading and researching before stocking up my store. |

The policy regarding drop-shipping is that you can't use a drop-shipper to ship your goods. They have to be in your possession, photographed by you and shipped by you. If you want to buy your inventory from a drop-shipper, have it in stock in your home or place of business, take the photos, write the descriptions and pack and ship the items when sold, then those items will be allowed.
It is not the item that is banned but the process of drop-shipping. |
