|
|
Hi
A buyer contact me, to solve the error below, showing when he's trying to order:
Express Checkout has been disabled for this merchant. Please contact Customer Service. Please try checking out through an alternative payment option (if any)
I have "PayPal payments Standard" check marked and the paypal email address associated entered.
I have "PayPal Express Checkout" check marked and LINKED to the same email address. And it says: "PayPal Express Checkout is currently linked to your store
So, what's the problem? |

I think the message is telling you to contact PAYPAL's customer service |

I recommend try disable and enable it. If that don't work. Contact eCrater and Paypal. |

I tried that initially, but it didn't work. I had to upgrade my PayPal account to "premier". That move doesn't cost anything but now my PayPal Express Checkout automatically works. |

Personal PayPal accounts will only allow you to receive a limited number of payment via PayPal Standard. To use PayPal Express implies you plan to sell online and will be accepting credit cards. You have to upgrade your PayPal Personal account to at least a PayPal Premier account. (Upgrading to PayPal Business isn't necessary unless you want to use your Business name.) Here's a link to PayPal's explanation to the different types of PayPal accounts. https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/helpcenter/helphub/article/?solutionId=FAQ2347&topicID=&m=ARA |
