In the ecrater store it says
"* This merchant does not ship to countries others than the listed above.",
this seems to drive away many of our potential buyers, as the negative writing confuses a lot of people. It would be much better if it said:
"* This merchant ships to all countries listed above."
Any suggestions how to notify the ecrater staff to change this? |

We can notify eCrater of suggestions in the Suggestions forum. |

People have been suggesting this very same thing since 2010 & ecrater has never changed it. Wonder why? |

Even just correcting the grammar would be nice:
This merchant does not ship to countries others than the listed above.
This merchant does not ship to countries other than those listed above.
But I agree with the OP, negative word choices like this make an impression on the reader, whether they realize it or not. |

No matter how you say it it can be a negative. Many sellers only sell in the US. Since more and more buyers are reaching us via the marketplace, I think buyers would read that a seller does not ship outside the US and assume all sellers followed the same guidelines. |

It would probably work better to say, "click the button above to see where else in the world this seller will ship to." . When I first saw that pop up box I wasn't sure what to do as it wasn't clear that you actually have to DO something to see the list. If you don't look at it closely and study the box and be brave enough to click buttons including the 'send' button, you aren't going to see the selection. Send is the wrong word as well (especially if someone thinks it means 'order'!). I think search would be better. I have many customers write and ask if I ship to the UK and AU and since I'm open to most of Europe and Eurasian countries they should see that themselves if the drop down box was understandable. But it isn't. |

I guess the real question is what kind of effort does the seller make to achieve this ...
1. The seller has to disable countries they do not wish to ship to.
2. The seller has to enable countries they wish to ship to.
My recollection is that #1 is how eBay does it, and #2 is how eCRATER does it. |
