I have created a list in .txt notepad and i am looking for the format because I am getting attribute errors/ im not sure how to declare them. Please Help - no other forums are useful.

Are you trying to do a bulk upload of some sort? If so then you need to follow the requirements section that is with the bulk upload information. As your initial message read, it sounded like you are having trouble with doing the Google attributes. Now you have added a mass of information to your initial post (where you probably should have added it to your second post to help make it clear to others what you are asking).
If you are making this file by hand, then it seems logical to me, that you just list everything by hand instead and then no invalid files. I never did a bulk upload, so not sure what is not right in what you are trying to do, but then, I guess I'm a bit baffled anyway on what you are doing. I suspect that they assume that anyone going this route already has an idea of how to set up a tab delimited .txt file. and that may be what you need to figure out. You are right I don't think this has been talked about in the forums much. Many of us longer term sellers had to list everything by hand, so we aren't as familiar with doing the listing in bulk. Maybe a computer person will come along and help, as I obviously can't now that I have a bit of a glimmer of what you need help with. |

There is a complete example of the format of the file in the bulk file requirements in your admin tool. If you click on the link bulk.txt that is about 1/2 way down in the instructions you can see the example. The file must be a tab delimited file, saved with UTF-08 encoding. If the file is not saved with UTF-08 encoding, it will fail.

| crazy that ecrater doesnt have more sellers, i mean on amazon ebay the community is so much larger and it took me a year to actually sell somethging. a whole year on ecrater, then finally i made $1000 sale. i make 3x that using craigslist alone monthly |

| For some reason while many complain bitterly about ebay (at least they do on ecommercebytes) yet you never seem to see them leaving. It is like they are torturing themselves because of belief that they will get more sales by staying than leaving. When I was still selling on ebay, at times I paid out more that 50% of my income to ebay! Came here and got to keep my income other than minor PP fees. Even now the marketplace fees are basically a drop in the bucket. I would rather not pay them since if I don't pay many during the month, it means my promotion efforts are paying off, but otherwise to have up to ~$10 I sure can't compare with the $800 at times I paid ebay since you had to pay listing fees back then. Even though Amazon may have hefty FVF, at least there are no listings fees either so you only pay fees when something sells. |

I view eBay as a tool in my selling arsenal. I could go on and on about the things I don't like about eBay, but at the end of the day: it is what it is. The best one can do is use it to their best advantage. Personally, eBay for me is a means to make myself known. I never sell at a loss, but often, the profit is almost laughable. However, again, I use them as a means to get the word out about what I have to offer for sale. Each eBay sale gets an unadvertised freebie item with a note inviting them to my store.
Again, use it (without breaching policy of course) to your best advantage because the fact of the matter is, they still have a massive customer following.
Just my two cents on eBay. 
To the OP:
Try writing your attributes information as it is listed in the item description. If you're not sure what I mean, enter in one line of attribute information from the "G" tab. Now go back to that item and click the "pencil". Take a look at the bottom of your item description. You now see that attribute information there, only formatted similar to this:
[!color:Green!]
I suggest writing out all of your attribute information in this "proper" format within your text document. As you list a new item then, simply copy and paste into the bottom of the item description. |
