My daughter (co-owner of clairescloset.ecrater.com) has entered a fun contest in Scranton, Pa. The challenge was to creatively fill a pothole (those pesky things that are numerous in most roads here in the Northeast). You can read about it here

http://www.thepopupstudio.org/home.html and here http://potholepopup.com

and see the entries here

http://woobox.com/3ka74n

If anyone is so inclined, my daughter's car really needs new tires so she is hoping to win first prize, and would very much appreciate your votes.
Her entries are named "Plantin' Scranton" (flowers planted in the potholes), "Roadkill Grill" (grilling some hot dogs over coals), and "Pot-hole In One" (featuring a snazzy golfer). You need to have a facebook account in order to log in and vote. You are allowed to vote for more than one entry when you log in, and can vote every day (after 24 hours). Thanks for your support! Some of these will make you laugh. Enjoy!

Those were very clever. I was happy to vote for her entries and posted it on Twitter, too. Hope it shames the city into fixing those potholes!

Thank you, StoneWyre, that was very kind of you! She's pretty far behind with only four days of voting left so your help is sure appreciated.

I visited your store; such lovely and unique pieces! I may want to purchase something for my daughter to cheer her up if she doesn't win the contest Smile
