A couple weeks ago, we asked for help getting listed Internationally =couldn't get the country to show up on my shipping list when adding/editing items.

Just today while adding (trying to add) an item.... whalla there it is Australia and UK appears as one of the countries we'd ship to. Not only that but there is also "add item box" next to each shipping zone INCLUDING Alaska and Hawaii !!!
Help please. There are too many variables in adding an item to a package. In the past we calculate and communicate shipping by email with each customer/multiple purchase. Shall we remove the zone options other than US ?

BTW we thought Alaska and Hawaii were part of the US for years now.

See the thread started by eCrater for information on the new fields.

Alaska and hawaii have always been broken out, because for shippers like UPS they are significantly more expensive than CONUS.

Alaska and Hawaii are part of the U.S. ecrater just lets you charge higher shipping rates to those states if you want, because sometimes it can be a little higher to ship there when going by regions and zones USPS.

But this new change has caused A LOT of problems for the rest of us. See the new Flat Rate Shipping Improvements thread started by eCrater.

Okay, reopened my store and tested the new fixed shipping rate to find things are as it was.
I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) if an item is added and the second box is left empty the system defaults to have the same amount as the first box.

Idea Also on my wish list ....
a box for buyers to enter an amount; call it discount or call it coupon but an option for multiple item purchases to be totalled at checkout.
Stripe would love you.
Paypal would love you.
Toytraders would love you the most.

When I looked at your store, it seems like most items were fairly light weight. It would seem you could do something with the matrix, where if the weight went up, the postage could drop. Shocked Does that make any sense?

thanks sammys,
too many variables, size and weight.
It seems my customers were happy to send an email as instructed on my FAQ page. I follow up immediately with tracking numbers and refunds, ship quickly etc.

Unfortunately, tonite I noticed that AK and HI are not selectable on my check-out page. Both are included in my Flat & (NON) Flat Shipping Zones.

Another glitch or am I missing something? I have 3 people listing items in our store all of us come up with the same problems.

I just checked one of your items and the only shipping option was for the US which I would suppose that all 50 states are covered in that.

I do not understand this question. What and where are these boxes you are talking about?

When a customer purchases an item only US is an option in our store.
Hawaii and Alaska are also options for us as we've added the 2 states in our selected zones for "Flat Shipping Zones" and "Shipping Zones" in our store setup.
Both states were there prior to the recent shipping changes.

I see that you don't ship to either state as it is not on your "destination" list.
Would HI & AK been converted to the same rate as US during the recent change?
Big difference in rates -or are we now forced to use the matrix system if we ship to those 2 states.

I went to one of Moon's patterns, clicked on the shipping prices and entered a Hawaii zip code. It worked correctly. Is there something I'm missing here ?
