Save McDonald’s Packaging

Jan 13, 2016

Save examples of old packaging at your local McDonald’s restaurant before the new packaging is in use later this year. We have seen groups of polystyrene foam “clamshells” (discontinued in 1991) and early Happy Meal boxes (in designs that changed with each change of toys) sell to collectors for hundreds of dollars. The new, modern packaging features large letters, bright colors, and pictures of the products. Nutrition labeling and pictures of fresh produce show concern for healthy food. The paper is even a better quality, and the chain is planning for totally recyclable packaging in the next five years. ~ komments@kovelsonline.com

Yes, that is where I found the story and why I added "Kovels.com" to the bottom. I will revise and make it more noticeable.

Wish I had those old Dukes of Hazzard Happy Meal boxes. Those were the best McD packaging. Just needed wheels! Of course, they would probably give you cancer.
