In your store Admin, look for the section More Options: and click on On-Hold. Your choices are Yes or No with a notice, "If you do this your store will become inactive." Once you click Yes, your entire store will become On-Hold. There will be no feed to Google Shopping and your items will not be shown in the eCrater Marketplace. The "Add to Cart" button will change to "On Hold" and no one can purchase anything from your store. A customer may still find their way to your items from a link posted in an organic search with Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, etc. or a saved bookmark. If you promoted your items in any of the social media, they can still follow the link to the item, but it will say On Hold. You may get "Ask Seller A Question" emails from customers who want to buy, so be sure to check your email if possible.
You might want to add something to the front page of your store to let buyers know you do plan to re-open. When you are ready, just repeat the step above to re-activate your store. Depending on how long you are closed, it may take a little while to get everything re-indexed in the search engines after you return. |

I just checked your store and you have a negative feedback that you need to take care of before you put your store on hold. If you've already taken care of the customer that's great. If the negative feedback is in error, you might want to present the facts of the case to eCrater to see if they can remove the neg before you go. |

If the issue is resolved and you feel the feedback was incorrect, send eCrater all the details of the transaction to show why you feel the feedback was incorrect. They will review the information you send. In some cases they do remove feedback, in some cases they change it to neutral. If the customer is happy and willing to help, have them send an email to eCrater (just make sure they include the order #). If the customer had a valid reason to leave neg feedback, then the feedback will stand. |

Do you make sure that you put your tracking orders into the order info. You have to click on the tracking. Then ecrater sends a tracking number to the buyer. I also send a shipping notification to the customer so that makes for two ways to get the info to the customer. That is an odd FB as it seems after ordering they didn't hear from you or ecrater, but wanted/needed some sort of contact. |

What do you use to generate postage/tracking ?
If you use PayPal, then the tracking number will automatically appear on PayPal, but not on eCRATER. You have to manually add it to eCRATER. |

I think Cosmic meant what program do you use to print out your postage label or do you hand write the address and take it to the PO to mail? After you print out your postage label, you need to insert it into PP tacking, into ecrater on the order, and I also send the buyer a shipping notification that also includes a thank you and any other pertinent information the buyer needs to know. |
