|
|
My laptop screen has moved to the left meaning whatever is on the far left side of the screen is cut off. I've tried to move it to the right but it doesn't budge. I've tried reducing the size of the page but it reduces and stays off to the left. I know there is somethting I can do to move it right but I can't remember what it is. Can anyone help? Thanks. |

If I remember I will ask hubby when he wakes up. He might know. |

I think you hit a button on your monitor.
Either on the bottom of the the side of the monitor there is a button(s) that will give you a menu to adjust the monitor in brightness, the size and such. |

Do you know what that button has on it? |

On my monitor,
Facing at the monitor - it's the right side
When I hit the button, it gives me the options of
Preset Modes
Brightness/Contrast
Menu
Exit
You hit menu and there an auto adjustor a display setting (That has horizontal and vertical options)
Use the the buttons that correspond to the arrows, return arrow.
You may need to work to get to tap the right button. I just sent my screen off center and had to find the right buttons to correspond to those arrows |

What does it say on the button? It should have a symbol or a word. I use a laptop so don't have a separate monitor. |

The buttons don't have any words. (At least my monitor doesn't)
You have to just push one of them and the words will show up on the monitor.
What you do is decide the word on the screen you want and match your fingers to the side of the monitor to correspond to the button and press it.
Something like this should show up on the screen in the corner.
You press the button on the side of the monitor that correspond to what you want. |

I never did find the button but something moved my screen right. Now as it should be. Have no idea what I did. |

That's good.
If you get a chance, look up on the internet your "monitor brand" menu buttons and see if they can explain what to do.
AND look at your monitor to find those buttons. My Dell monitor has buttons has buttons on the lower side while the old Dell 17" had buttons on the bottom of the monitor.
This will prep you just in case something happens again. |
