|
|
Well, I am going to go ahead and register a new store name..although it may take forever to get it set up!
I would sure appreciate some help picking a new name. I want to keep TexasTreasures in the title and add something to indicate the type of store. I will be putting everything for scrapbooking, decoupage, altered art in it-stickers, ephemera, papers, rubber stamps, eyelets and brads, that kind of stuff. About all I can come up with is TexasTreasures Scrapbook supplies, or paper art supplies.
Any ideas...please? |

I like the sound of 'Texas Scrapbook' to go alongside 'Texas Treasures'.
Who knows as things grow you may add a Texas Collectibles and many other Texas stores as you business grows.
To create an image all my stores on ecrater start my-little which has worked well as I am already working on a number of pages and a site called my-little-stores or my-little-group-of-stores to create an image of a big operation.
Good Luck with new store. I will be looking for is when it opens. |

LOL-I wish I could get started! I'm sitting here scanning things I bought at an estate sale this morning, but can't post them until I get the store set up!
How does 'Artist Scraps Texas Treasures' sound? Do I need to run the entire thing together or put ~ or something similar between the words? Can I use & between scraps and treasures without messing up the search?

Scraps!!!
Not sure I like the word 'scraps'.
Perhaps it is an English against American Language problem.
But Scraps for me is like rubbish. We feed scraps to our dog, common name for leftovers after a meal that get thrown in the bin or to the dog.
Perhaps someone will dive in with a great name now!
Good Luck even if you decide to sell 'scraps' |

We feed scraps to the dogs, too! But to an artist, scraps are bits and pieces of special paper, labels, book pages, pictures, etc, that they use in collages, assemblages, junk like that....I have two files full of 'scraps' and am always hunting for more!
That's why I want to use words like scraps, ephemera, artist, etc, in my new name. The people who are looking for this stuff will know what's in the store!
I also thought of ArtistTreasures...but don't much like the sound of it, that could mean artist supplies or completed pieces of art. |

Clothingbay, that's not bad! I could make it TexasArtistsTreasures and that might be it!
Let me drink a little more Coke and come back again to look at it...but I think you've got it! |

You can always have the domain as TexasArtistsTreasures & use the entire name from the previous link as your store name...

What if someone reads Scraps as a verb. Sounds like a newspaper headline Artist Scraps Texas Treasures.
I have a file cabinet that I want to decoupage and have bought two books on how to do it but haven't gotten around to it yet. Have all the bits I want to use but just hate to start projects any more.
Are the bits and scraps all paper? I don't know enough about the stock to get very creative. Best I can think of is "Decoupage with Texas Treasures" |

No, anything you can glue down, you can use in decoupage or assemblage-buttons, fabric, lace, whatever. Little pieces of metal, like keys, hardware, jewelry...whatever strikes your fancy. That's what makes it so much fun!
I think I have to give up the TexasTreasures part, which I hate to do-I've had it for so many years. I don't want the name too long. Maybe ArtisticScrapsNTrinkets. |

Sugah, you must not be from the south, or you'd know what a tart is...either something to eat, or that gal on the street corner!
Clothesbay-where in Texas? Wholesalemonster lives here in Lubbock, like me! I was so excited to find another Ecraterite here in town, the only other online seller i knew of around here was on Ebay. There are several Texas sellers here, it's pretty cool-we should have a BBQ! |
