I sell postcards, some have never been used so I do not click on the used button.
How would you treat these, they have not been used but they are certainly not brand new as advertised on my page if the used button was not clicked. I guess I don't want my customers to get the impression that they are reproductions.
Thanks for any thoughts. |

there is another post with a question similar to yours only refering to patterns. I believe that the best solution that was come up with was good descriptions that really emphasis that they are unused older vintage or whatever post cards.

If you bought them from the manufacturer or perhaps from a remainders dealer or something like that I'd say they're new. If they've never been used and never had an actual owner (if you know what I mean) then that sounds like new.
If they've been bought elsewhere as collectibles and they just look new I'd still call them used.
I know where you're coming from -- I've had to make the same sort of decision with some of the stuff I carry too.. |

Thanks for your opinions, I did not see the post about the patterns but can understand how that would be the same type of situation.

Used or new is a great question when it comes to VINTAGE post cards. I have a box of cards somewhere in this mess
and I never gave it a thought. Personally I think old and vintage post cards should be listed as used. Some how it just doesnt seem right to classify old post cards as new even if they have no message, address and stamp. If I was a post card collector I might not even pause to look at a card marked new. Your description can give the condition and other details. Just my thoughts on your question so now must remember to try to find my USED post cards!
