I enjoy reading all the posts on the boards. Useful info.I am amazed at all the folks getting sales! what am I doing wrong! I know my store still needs some work but I would think I would have at least made a sale by now???? I have been promoting the store like crazy,,My items do show a lot of views but so far no sales.......still doing ok on the auctions but was hoping to do well here too,,,,,,,,,( maybe to get out of auction circuit since the fees eat up the profit margin!) |

jsdecals - I just bought one of your decals.
I don't think you are doing anything wrong, its probable the time of year - people are outside mostly not on their computers.
Is there anyway you could have a picture of a decal actually on a car window so the buyers could see what it would look like? Maybe put it on the home page (where the turtle decal is now).
Have you thought about making some with sayings or quotes - funny, religious, etc.? Maybe some that look like the real thing: like an egg splattered on the car, a baseball with a crack around it so the windshield looks cracked... I don't know how these are made so I don't know if you could do this or not. Maybe some that are oriented towards children, the holidays, etc.
And all of this from someone who has sold only 1 book!! Me |

I sold 3 items so far this month although.... 1 was paying via MO & I never received anything. I emailed & got no response...
Oh well...
Do you all accept all the other payments besides paypal?
was just wondering. |

Yes, I do accept paypal but will also take money orders as well, as I do realize not everyone uses a paypal account |

I accept Paypal and Money orders. Checks and cash are too iffy for me and I haven't signed up for Google Checkout yet. I'm not sure if I will right now. My Paypal accepts credit cards though. Do you benefit a lot from having Google Checkout? |

Congrats to you all on your sales. It only gets better. My e-Crater store sold short of $50 this month of what my E store sold. |

Way to go Fancy! And I too am happy! I had my first store purchase today, Intimate Dimensions is just about 2 weeks old on eCrater. And I see alot more traffic than I did on eBay.
As to the Google Checkout Question..., I think the more options that a customer has, the better for the seller, and they are cheaper on final sale percentage as well. Not to mention, there are more than a few who are not real happy with eBay at the present time, and since PayPal is owned by eBay, some potential customers may opt not to use PP. Just my thoughts... |

eCrater sales are about 30% of total sales. eBay about 60% and iOffer about 10%. I am finding that Goggle Adwords has been working well to direct sales to ecrater for me. Works well for unique hard to find items. |
