Hi..We've been adding items for over a month and no sales. Our items are appearing on froogle...We have blogs going and a free website for advertising...Submited our links etc..
Is it our stores? or just the nature of the time frame and buyers are holding on to their wallets.
Check our stores out let us know what you think!

It's nice to know that your links have been submitted to search engines -- but the question is when? It can take 4-8 weeks for a site to be found by a search engine after submission - not to mention something may have caused the search engine to still over look your site.
So I got to ask a few things. Have you searched the search engines you submitted to to be sure they got you?
How many hits did you have on items last month?
Suggestions --- USE your titles. Key word them to death! for example
Air Force Dress Cap with Insignia Hat Airforce
Think about adding Military and Size and color
Civil War Era Tintype in Case with note
could be somethng like
Civil War Era Tintype Tin type Case Photograph Woman Vintage Dress
Kansas Historical Quarterly magazine, 1944
could be something like
Kansas Historical Quarterly magazine 1944 Map Pike's Peak Express Companies Neodesha 1873
LITTLE SONGS TO PLAY and SING FOR THE VERY YOUNGEST
could be something like
PIANO TEACHING BOOK SONGS TO PLAY and SING BERENICE BENSON BENTLY
Just some ideas for you. |

Thank you Big & Tall,
Your input has some excellent merits.
Site submissions are about 4 weeks old...for both. We put 20 items in each store then started submitting. So things should start rocking.
We're coming up on Froogle for sure....We'll make it a point today to check for our products on other sites. Our names do come up if you use the store name followed by ecrater in the search.
We came from the big E so this is a learning experience for us.
Overall between the 2 stores we have about 3000 more items to add and want to make sure we are on the right track. Editing for days is not our idea of fun.
We'll take an indepth look at the titles. Is there a maximum of characters that you can use before a search engine looks the other way?
The item with the highest hits has 15....and it is one of the first items we put in the store.
Does more items in a store bring more exposure, anywhere but froogle? We read somewhere the more links to your store the better. Would items count as a link?
We wish sometimes we didn't live in very rural America and an overview class was available locally....
The boards are a great classroom however.
Thanks again. |

Links TO your store -- that means web sites that have a clickable link that take people to your store. These are best if they are comparible or related links - meaning they are at sites that sell or talk about similiar stuff to what you sell. For example it wouldn't do you much good to have a link at my site - www.BigNTallMensClothing.com - because you don't sell clothing - therefore, it's an unrelated link.
Directories, forums, clubs, groups, those are great places to find folks with the same interest.
One place to start is yahoo. They have a ton of groups and they also have yahoo 360 where you can find "friends" etc with like interest. |
