Perhaps other eCrater shop owners would like to share information when they find a good source for boxes, envelopes, etc.
I will start with a company I have been using for several years. I order using an 800 number and the product and service is perfect. The Linton Company is where I buy bubble envelopes for mailing books. I carry 4 different sizes and find these envelopes to be perfect for shipping a book. Prices are the lowest I have found for quality bubble envelopes and the company includes free shipping for each order. http://linton.stores.yahoo.net/mailpadorbub.html
I hope The Linton Company information will come in handy for someone else.
(I have always received complaints on my wrapping and shipping of books in bubble envelopes. I do wrap all books in tissue and seal in plastic so they are protected. Cardboard is added to protect the book corners before it is placed into the bubble envelope. Shipping costs are
low and the book arrives without problems!)
Right now I am looking for brown or clear shipping tape. The last brown tape I purchased was from an auction on eBay but the tape had a very unpleasant chemical smell that never did disappear.
I hope some one can give me a buying source for shipping tape.

I'm lazy. I use Staples on line and wait till I need more than $50 worth so I get free shipping. I have so few sales now that my last order will probably last the rest of my life. I still use Priority mail for non-books and take advantage of the free shipping supplies.
I've bought books from you and you ship very well. No complaints from me. |

This topic borders on breaking the rules - no advertising.
BUT I will allow it to stay because I think some very useful and helpful information could be posted.
PLEASE REMEMBER - no affiliate links - those I will have to delete.
BTW, I use Linton for bubble envelopes too. |

Wow, I just checked Linton's and the bubble mailers are about a dime cheaper each than where I usually get them. Thanks for this information!
I'm looking for clear tape, too. I had a contact at a local factory and they used a lot of clear tape. She would give me the end parts but alas those days are over.

I hope you meant "compliments"!
I ordered from uline.com recently. Decent prices and they ship same day, which is nice. |

Our shipping supplies are usually recycled stuff...
The interior wrapping is shipping foam from a local manufacturing company, very clean. Their trash, our treasure. They even bag it for us so it won't fill up their dumpster..(Such nice people).
Our book boxes are from the local cable company. Their customer modems come in them and are throw aways to the installers. They hold them for us, we pick them up regularly...(Such nice people).
Our Priority shipping is free from the post office, they deliver to our door.
(Such nice people).
Our shipping tape is from the local Walmart...and yes, they are such nice people.
Our shipping envelopes we buy at local auctions whenever a business has an overstock auction.....at extremely low prices....(Our local auctioneers are also such nice people)
BTW....so are the sellers on eCrater such nice people |

I ship only priority mail which has perfect boxes and tyvek bags for what I sell. I order them from the Post Office website and they deliver them straight to my home, no cost for anything except tape, which I get at Staples, I buy the largest box, it costs very little. |
