Maybe I am brain farting, but what do you mean people cannot offer this as a service?[/quote]

THIS IS THE ONE EXCEPTION
You are allowed to but a SOLD image as default for up to 2 weeks. THen it needs to be hidden or deleted.
We asked for this so that they consumer had a way to see the listing after they received the item.

Please show me the rule page that states this. I have asked a few times for this in a couple of threads and specifically have asked if there is more than one TERMS page and was told no. Yet I continue to see posts stating rules that I cannot find anywhere.

I simply do not want to be surprised one day by having things shut down when I followed all the rules on the only term page I can find.

3.3 What is not allowed to post?

- Body parts & organs
- Pirated materials and products
- Copyrighted Materials (images & texts)
- Counterfeit Designer Items (replicas or imitation of designer products)
- Fake Documents
- Illegal Goods and Services
- Personal Information about another individual
- Prescription Drugs
- Prostitution
- Currency Exchanges
- The same or very similar content several times (even in different categories)
- Miscategorization
- Meaningless title & description
- Test items unless your store is put on-hold
- Free items and items with prices that are not "real"
- Pre-order items- Tobacco and cigars for smoking
- Live animals

BOTH the bold items pretend to items not really available for sale.
Google does not allow items that are not for sale in the feed. eCrater.com has no way to pull out SOLD image items.
After explaining the issue of buyers not being able to view their items once they receive it in the mail ecrater.com agreed to allow us up to TWO WEEKS of a sold out item to be still in our store.
One thing no seller wants is for google to no longer accept feeds from ecrater.com due to too much trash in them. I think we will all agree with that.

I have access to quantities of mint postage stamps with little philatelic value.

Since they are valid for postage, can they be sold here?

The listing would read something like :

$52 face value mint Canadian stamps. Shipping and GST included. Valid for postage in Canada. Mixed packets of same value stamps.
Example lot: 100 x .07 + 100 x .55. Makes 100 First Class rates.
Cheaper than the post office at only $4X.99!

As you can see, these would only be made available in Canada. (Please do not email me to buy these, I am just working on the deal)

Any problem that each lot sent could be made up of different face values? (My example would never happen since 7 c and 55 c Canadian stamps are hard to come by - 42s and 10s maybe or 38s and 14s)

What is wrong with this is that every item sold on ecrater must be available to the USA. If you were a Canadian butcher, you could not sell your beef on ecrater because you couldn't ship it to the USA.

What I'd like to know is how do you get discounted postage stamps?

As long as you are willing to ship them to the US
you can sell them here.

I know a few peopel that sell US postage stamps online and one guy that buys them to save on his postage.

This stamp thing confuses me. I had a padded envelope returned recently because the postage went up sometime between the moment I put it in the mail the time it got sorted. They stored it for 2 weeks and returned it with 5 cents postage due. They are that niggly but yet sell stamps at a discount?
I personally would do anything to undercut Canada Post. As it is I rarely use them.

I would guess we're talking about stamps that are out of circulation but not worth much to collectors -- however, since they're unused they're still valid postage.

Live animals aren't allowed either, but there are scores of them listed.

Where? Either report the stores to ecrater admin or list them here for a moderator to flag. With almost a million items listed, everyone has to do their part to keep the site clean.

Well, yeah, but I know if it were me I'd happily ship/sell US stamps to Canadians or anybody else. Whoever pays gets the goods!

Also, I bet there are US residents near the border who can make use of Canadian stamps.

Canadian postage is so much higher than US, it is doubtful Americans cross the border to mail. However border post offices in the US have long lines of Canadians mailing their packages.

Where is the 2 week rule written?

No one can expect people to follow this rule unless they can find it in the rules.

I am also still waiting for clarification on this:

Quote:
You can not list priority mail as a service!

Obviously we can use whatever service we want, which means we can list what we use. But...

Do you actually mean we cannot offer multiple services stated in the listing; as in:

We offer 1st class for $3 and Priority $6"....

Since the matrix does not allow it in the input fields?

Again, where are the rules on this so people can follow the rules?

I personally have no trouble with a seller saying if you want a different service just email me. Again, a venue. It should not matter what service the seller is using or offering since it supposed to be up to the seller.

Where are the stated rules?
