The author didn't do his homework
Quote: | Currently, Slavov plans to add features such as a larger community, as well as shipping and tax utilities. He plans to expand the site to other countries as well. |
That would be awesome!
Quote: | Slavov is particularly happy with the eCrater user community, which is filled with friendly and helpful individuals. |
YOU BET!! |

Oh - I missed the part about "auctions"... but other than that I thought it was great. A little insight into The Man in the Moon, and what inspired him to build this great venue.
I said it in my other post (...heh... ) and I'll say it again:
Bravo Dimitri! You've done a helluva job.
A Bajillion Thanks!

Sheesh, that's certainly not going to help us out over here. There are already enough new users who are caught off guard by learning that there are no auctions here. |

Yeah poop, I emailed Ina and informed her how they make that mistake all the time. I welcome them to visit ecrater.com and see all these auctions - please, I would love to see just one of them
AuctionBytes has done several stories on ecrater.com and I think just about everyone mentions the auctions here.
Shows you the folks writing it have no clue what they are talking about. |

Isn't just like a fixed price item on eBay... it is still considered an
"auction" but the seller sets the price. |

A fixed price item is not an auction.
Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1)
auction /ˈɔkʃən/ Pronunciation
noun 1. Also called public sale. a publicly held sale at which property or goods are sold to the highest bidder.
That is the definition of the word. There is no fixing of anything. You may start it at a certain value, but you do not set a cap to it. That is the whole purpose. |

I am sure many a buyer can come to appreciate the selection here on eCrater without the competiveness of a bidding war. I have been disapointed so many times to have my heart set on an item on to be outbid for less than a dollar. |

Everytime AuctionBytes mades that mistake - which they do most of the time - I email them if I see it and they correct it.
AuctionBytes is a great source for info BUT they make so many mistakes that it's almost unbeliveable! They certainly don't seem to worry about the facts - more interested in getting the article out the door. |
