Does anyone use Google Adwords?

I just wondered if anyone here uses Google Adwords to promote their stores? What other options have you used that you feel work better and/or are more cost effective and easier to control?

I don't. I don't want to spend the money. I don't know if it's effective. I do wish we had a page in our store for live reciprocal linkage/HTML. It would help e-Crater and each individual store as it bumps up sites in search engines significantly. My blog has tons of links and is 3 or 4th on MSN and within 6 pages on Google. Doesn't cost me a penny.

i dont, simply because when i google stuff, i never look at the adds that appear in that category... it seems quite expensive, and, as fancyflappers said, "I don't know if it's effective".
i would also agree with fancyflappers that it would be nice to be able to link people to my site... i have items on another site that offers an interesting option : i can put in "favorites" sellers from that site as well... for example, i like fancyflappers dresses and think people who are interested in her creations might also be in mine, then i could add her to my favorite ecrater stores and vice-versa... (I hope this makes sense, my english is not so good)
