Is there anyway at all to offer customers a discount through paypal? I know ALOT of people use paypal and don't want to NOT use them, because I am scared I will lose customers if I don't offer paypal. |

ooh! Good question. I've been wondering as you can make a coupon with google, but I don't think so with pp. |

PayPal has no way to create a coupon code.
There used to be - not sure it's even around any more - a 3rd party service that you paid to use that allowed you to create a coupon code to work with PayPal. |

Well that sucks.
(on a semi-related note, I just realized that there are duplicate "sad" smilies available.) |

Paypal has a setting that you can enable or disable that allows buyers to change the total amount due.
We have ours set on "enable" so if a buyer purchases multiple items and I've given them a quote over email they can enter that amount in as a "discount" and pay the quoted amount rather than the amount eBay invoices.
I don't know if this would work for what you have in mind or not. |

Hello,
What I do is this.
I put in every package I send out from my ebay store, a flyer that states 10% off first time buyer from my eCrater Store.
I Let them no to email me, that they have the 10% coupon and then when they are done shopping, I will issue them an invoice that will have that amount taken off there purchase price of the item before Shipping is added.
Other then asking the buyer to wait for your invice, I do not no how you would do it. |

Hi! We use PP shopping cart, and when we run "coupin" we put this right under special
"Our shopping cart isn't set up to calculate this discount. Please EMAIL your order to us and we will send you an invoice. Or, call us at xxxx (NY time) for Visa or Mastercard."
Sometimes buyers just pay full amount with PP, so we refund the discount, with explanation in the comment box, through their PP payment.
Unfortunately ...or I haven't found it.... there are no color or type attributes, such as above, to be able to make special comments stand out! Can only use caps, not even bolding. |
