I know you guys get tired of all the "newbie" questions but....
Is there a way to combine shipping charges for multiple orders to save the buyer money? I know I saw that question on the message boards but can't find it now.

ONLY if you use the shipping matrix - ship by weight.
If you used fixed price shipping, you can explain in the description, FAQ, Terms etc pages that you will combine shipping and that if they pay immediately using google or Paypal that you will refund the excess shipping OR they can place the order and you will send them an invoice for the corrected amount. (I don't know if you can invoice on google - but you can on PP)
