Hi Everyone,
I just want to remind everyone to double check their carts, especially those accepting Google Checkout.
Twice in as many days I have tried to purchase items and pay through Google Checkout only to find their carts improperly set up. Once here on eCrater and another on Presto Stores. Do yourself a favor and go through a checkout on your sites.
Google Checkout is a tiny bit more complicated than paypal which only uses your email address you need to make sure your Merchant ID and Key numbers are correct.
Don't mean to preach, just don't want you to lose any sales |

Good advice. Sellers pop up on the boards here with regularity because a customer told them Google gave them an error message when they tried to check out. |

Just put one of your items in the cart (buy now) and click on Google Checkout. You should see order details, if you do you are fine if you see oops or it doesn't go through you have problems. |

Whatever you do - do NOT pay yourself.
that is against terms of every merchant account and processor that out there. |

I just started using Google Checkout a couple weeks ago and have already had 2 sales use it with only one problem. I guess there is no comments section when submitting payment like there is when paying through Paypal so they can't send a note with the order. That is the only thing my buyers have told me they don't like about it. I've never used it myself as a buyer so I don't really know what they see but I guess I'll have to do test check out to find out. |
