Google Checkout accepts payments from many countries but sellers must be in the US or UK. |

Hi, I live in Hong Kong and have a Google email account.
When I want to sign on a Google Checkout account for using in eCrater,
the Country is for United States and United Kingdom only, why only two locations ? .
I want to ask, how can I use it.
Thanks,
Ernest |

my-prettiest-lingerie - YOU CAN'T USE IT YET. Google checkout is new - only been around since about September 2006. Give it time and maybe you cann use it too. |

I want to make more advertising on my shop in Google.
Now, the visitor seems so less. What any other method to do better advertising.
Thanks
Ernest

If I have a customer in Japan, or Germany, can they pay through Google Checkout? If not, I need to change my auctions.

There must be a better page somewhere but here's one link I found. Go to *this sign-up page* and look at the "Location" drop-down. That's all of the countries that buyers can come from. |

Only US and UK sellers can have Google Checkout merchant accounts. Unless you have a US or UK bank account you can't offer GC on your store as payment method.
As far as the "PayPal and how you receive your money" thing, those are not the subject of this topic. Ask your questions in the appropriate section (Help) and topics please (if any present). |

Yes. They chage 30 cents plus 2.9% of the amount being transfered for each transaction. That's the extent of it. They may have lower rates for higher amounts. They take the money out of what the customer is charged.
So the credit card is only used when they can't get the money back from you in case there is a dispute or chargeback etc. (and to verify stuff instead of a SS# I think it was. Sorry it's been a while since I opened a GC account. Tough to keep track.)
Read their terms carefully before signing up. |
