|

I just had a request from a buyer as to when her package would be shipped. Thing is the purchase was yesterday and the package was also mailed yesterday and I sent the Google shipping notice last evening.
Are these notices just for Google's information? I thought we were notifying the buyer? Anyone have any experience with sending them or receiving them for a purchase you made? |

You can check a box and have the notice sent to you also, so I would think that they do. I have had this ha[[en a couple of times but I'm guessing that a spam filter got it somewhere and they didn't get it.
I just sent and email and apoligized for the mixup and that was the end of it.

When a seller clicks on Shipping Confirmation that information is recorded on the buyers account if they click on the my purchases area.
I don't think an email is sent to them.
BUT be careful if you send emails to GC users I have read more and more stories of sellers GC accounts being closed due to them contact the buyer that have marked it no marketing emails.
Google does consider any email from a seller as a marketing email, no mater what it says.
BUT if the sellers logs the info on the sale the buyer can see if when they look at their My Purchases on Google Checkout. |

My seller contacted me via Google inquiry so it would stand to reason that if she had logged onto her Google account she would have seen my shipping notification. |

ONLY if she clicked on MY PURCHASES
and then looked at the detail of the order and actually read the bottom of that screen. |
