Okay, I was ignoring Google attributes figuring my titles and descriptions had 90-100% of the supported info in them anyway. After Dimitri went to the trouble of providing the listing tab for them I started using them. So far all my sales have been for the old listings that had no attributes.
Can any of you see positive results from using them where you have both listings with and listings without? I have this sense that this is an attempt by Google to screw up a search engine that worked much like that place across the water. Anyone remember when an eBay search brought up all matching items and not just their creative matches? |

When a shopper searches google shopping and the attributes appear at the bottom of that search page - if they go into the items with those attributes - yours won't be there.
Way I understand it eventually searches will have to click on the attributes they want to see |

Maggie, I never did see significant increase in hits after I added the attributes. But like you, I had pretty much all of them in the body of the description or title. I imagine they are more helpful to the sellers who's description says 'see the picture for details'...or my all time favorite 'what you see is what you get' under a blurry picture! |

This is were Google Attributes come into play
SEE the bottom where is has
Refine product results for:
What is shown ther are the attributes used
Since not many sellers really use them it does give sellers that do that advantage WHEN a shopper uses them |

'When' being the key word...how many buyers actually do that? |

I bet if Google ever starts listing more Attributes choices at the bottom of that page lots more people will start using them. Makes it a lot easier to refine a search -- especially for the folks who aren't very good at searching to begin with. |

Wow, looking at that snapshot makes me think I'll start putting prices in my attributes! Seems if a shopper want to "refine" price and brand might be very important...
Thanks for the info. |

I don't think price is a supported attribute since you have to have a price listed to add your item. |

I just started adding price and ecrater accepted it.
Maybe this has been shared before, but here's a link to all Google attributes:

As for the OP, I'm with you, maggiethecat. I also have not (yet) noticed a difference in my hits from those items that do and don't have the attributes added.

PRICE is NOT a supported add-on attribute. Your PRICE is already included in the attributes submitted to google by ecrater.com
PRice, Title, Condition etc are all already part of what ecrater.com submits. |

I use attributes on all my listings and my sales still stink. I'm no impressed so far.
I've also had trouble getting the Title attribute to work for books.... |

As I understand it ecrater doesn't support titles in book listings because the title is in the listing title. |
