What was the category name??
What where the sub-categories called?
What ws listed in there?
Did you read the terms of using the ecrater.com site? Especially paying attention to sections 3.2 and 3.3?
Did that cateogry violate the terms? |

The category is Fashion Sunglasses, I don't think it violate the terms of eCrater. They are genric brand sunglasses (DG and XLoop) but very widely sold everywhere. They were listed in my eCrater store for almost 2 months without any problems. In the case if there were violations of eCrater terms shouldn't we be notified first rather than just being removed without any warning?? |

It's done automatically by the crawler. BUT I have never heard of categories disappearing just whole stores shutdown.
When you are logged in can you see them?
Did the listing say anything like similiar to or replicas of such in such brand name? |

I just looked over my item descriptions, I did not use words such as "replica" or "similar to" When I login to my eCrater, everything thing is there except the Fashion Sunglasses category. Well..I guess I will have to relist them again. Thanks for your replies BigTallMensClothing. |

I would not just relist them. IF they were deleted you can endup in more trouble by just relisting them.
Use the contact form and ask about this. I have never heard of a category disappearing ---- unless you accidentally deleted it yourself. |

I have had a few items disappear; however, I don't think Ecrater removed them. Yesterday, I had a fluke thing happen to my listings. I keep a copy of all of my products on an excel spreadsheet. I have two columns in my spreadsheet - one for product url and one for image url.
I clicked on a few of my products within my spreadsheet to find porn images that someone must have replaced my pictures with and I also had items show up that weren't even mine! Some of my products came up with "no product", so they may be able to even delete items.
I don't know how this happened, I'm still trying to figure out how someone could change my images. I'm wondering if this is what is happening to sellers that are getting their items removed.
Ecrater seems to be a great place for scammers and bogus orders, so it maybe a good place for someone to sabotage product listings.
As far as I know, a password is needed to change images for each store. But I think whomever did this....is very smart. |

Have either of you contacted eCrater and asked about it? If not, use the Contact form at www.ecrater.com . And let us know what happens. |

My items were ones that I had just switched back and forth as the featured item. |

This is the response I received from Ecrater:
Probably what happened is that you entered in our main marketplace www.ecrater.com. eCRATER is s marketplace and the main marketplace combines all seller's stores.
Okay, but this doesn't explain how products got deleted. So I guess at this point in time, I will forget about it until it happens again. |

What items were deleted? And did you add them back in?
Also, what did you do about the porn pictures? Did you fix them in your store admin? |

The deleted items were just soap products. Nothing obscene or vulgar, nor were they duplicates. Yes, I did add them back in.
Must be you can sell porn on Ecrater because the reply I received stated I must have went into the main marketplace. There must be porn in the marketplace somewhere.
I deleted all of the pictures and replaced them with the correct pictures.
It was alot of work, but I'm glad I noticed because I submit my products to many shopping sites. |
