Read a post somewhere that DMOZ is upgrading servers. I was unable to get in this morning.

Long story short - I have submitted several times over the past year and must not have met their criteria.

Don't know how to know if I am in que, contact them for status or what next step would be to resubmit.

Anyone have any expertise, suggestions.

Mary

This is just my personal opinion but DMOZ is a dying if not already dead. The normal waiting to time for inclusion, if the corrupt editors even approve your site, is about two years. They are that back logged.

Yes, they are experiencing major hardware/server problems and have been for nearly three weeks. I don't know this for a fact but I have read articles from several so called "experts" that think their entire data base was corrupted and much of their data may have been lost. It will be interesting to see if this is true.

wow aspen - THAT'S INTERESTING.

I have had one site forever - lol - about 4-5 years and it never ever did get on dmoz - EVEN AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. So I would submit it about every 6 months or so and just never got there.

Same here. I have now officially given up on getting into it since their editors seem to be ... err .... a bit slack about their job (if not worse) and it's no use submitting to it anyway.
