|
|
OK - I was thinking.
Most of us submit OUR store URL to search engines.
Does anyone submit the ecrater.com URL for categories they sell in to serach engines?
It's won't hurt ... would it?
I think I am going to do that!
Curious to know what you knowledgable people thing about this idea. |

Hmm, that's an interesting thought. I don't know for sure that it'll work but why wouldn't it?
Another thought along the same lines is to set up category RSS feeds with places like feedster.com and others like it.
We could also add the category search pages to places like http://del.icio.us . |

We tried submiting catagory url's and kept getting error messages that we could not use sub url's.
We are new at this submit stuff, so are plugging along. We keep watching to see if someone in the "know" can answer your questions.
We are having problems with submiting feeds also.
However we are having fun with international directories. So far we have submitted to most of Australia, Canada, the UK and the major European markets. |

that's weird because YOUR ecrater.com URL is a sub URL
I submitted my category to google - no problem |

Thanks Big and Tall;
We tried it again and took out any extensions and it worked submitting it to Google.
http://etchingsandcollectibles.ecrater.com/category/
Since we working on our Google account, what is the easiest way to get it Verified.
You have a choice of adding a Meta Tag
or
upload a HTML file
Can either of these be done on eCrater? If so how?

BT, as much other stuff as you do I guarantee you you could figure out these things too. I know it's two more things to have to figure out but it seems to be the direction the Internet is headed in -- especially for the younger market, I guess.
Anyway, I guess I'm saying that if I can do it anybody can! (But I'm definitely still trying to learn it all...) |

By the way, I hope it doesn't sound like I don't see where you're coming from, BT. It's taken a goodly amount of hand-holding for me to figure out what I have (and that's just scratching the surface, really)! |

The rss thing is fairly easy, first you find a page on your store with the logo, click the logo and copy the url for the rss..then just paste it where you want to submit it. I have a yahoo 360 page with lisings on there via rss |
