Vintage Christmas Pyramid With Nativity Scenes - Four Tiers With Music Box and Candles – 16" Tall

Vintage carved wood Christmas pyramid with four tiers of hand painted figurines and a wind-up musical mechanism. Christmas pyramids are a centuries-old German tradition and a beloved part of holiday decorations that have become popular internationally. This pyramid has a 6-sided outer frame with removable candle holders at the base and 3 platforms inside it that rotate around a central spindle topped by a windmill. The blades are turned either by warm air rising from lit candles or by engaging the music box, which plays the English carol "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." On each platform is a different scene from the Christmas story: an angel announcing the birth of Jesus to a shepherd tending his flock, shepherds arriving in Bethlehem to seek the Messiah, and the wise men with their camel bringing gifts to the infant in the manger. The pyramid makes a beautiful centerpiece for a Christmas display with Old World charm.

Vintage Rabbit Wall Plaque – Kinsman Company – Signed By the Artist

Vintage rectangular wall plaque of a rabbit resting in a garden setting. The rabbit, inspired by German artist Albrecht Dürer's famous 1502 watercolor entitled "Young Hare," is surrounded by flowers and foliage. The plaque appears to be cast in a cementitious material in a bluish-gray color, with a rosy terra-cotta finish that highlights the textured modeling of the rabbit's fur. Signed by the artist on one side "1998 Buskirk," it was purchased from the Kinsman Company, known for its high-quality garden accessories. The piece is fitted with a metal hanger at the back and can be displayed outdoors in mild climates. Whether overlooking a garden or hung in a garden-themed interior room, this distinctive wall art is a lovely way to invite a wildlife "guest" into your decor.

Vintage Decorative Inkstand By Estrela de Conimbriga – Hand Painted Portuguese Faience

Vintage faience inkstand made by Estrela de Conimbriga, the Portuguese pottery known for its high-quality decorative ceramics. The Dom José inkstand, named for King Joseph I of Portugal, was inspired by a desk accessory fashionable among the gentry starting around the 1400s. Like its fancy predecessors, this inkstand is fitted with capped inkwells, a sprinkler for sand (to blot the ink), pen rests, candleholders, and drawers for small implements. The hand painted decoration, from the company's pattern called 17th Century, carries on the Portuguese tradition from that era of ornate pottery influenced by Chinese porcelain and Hispano-Arabic art. The scenes depict a fanciful landscape filled with flowers, pagodas, rabbits, a dog, and a bird rendered in blues, greens, gold, and brown on a white ground. While pens and keyboards have made inkstands obsolete, this piece would make a beautiful decorative accessory on a desk, cabinet, or shelf.

Vintage Mack Truck Wild Turkey Whiskey Decanter Bottle – 75th Anniversary – Limited Edition 1975

Vintage ceramic whiskey decanter celebrating the 75th anniversary of Mack Trucks, founded in 1900 and today one of the largest makers of heavy-duty vehicles. To commemorate this special occasion in 1975, Mack teamed with Wild Turkey to fill a limited edition decanter with bourbon, which the distillery has been producing in Kentucky since 1869. The white decanter is decorated with three panels featuring famous Mack products: a 1911 fire truck, a 1913 Junior Model truck, and a 1916 Model AC Bulldog truck. Running around the bottle above the panels is an iconic phrase referring to the company's reputation for rugged, reliable vehicles: "Built Like a Mack Truck," followed almost parenthetically by "it's part of the Language." The cork stopper is crowned with a gold-toned bulldog, the long-time corporate mascot found as the hood ornament on Mack trucks. The bottom is stamped: "Mack Trucks First Issue Limited Edition 1975 75th Anniversary Commemorative." Fun collectible for lovers of bourbon and of Mack Trucks. Note: decanter is empty.

Antique Sterling Silver Grooming or Baby Brush – Webster Company – Late 1800s-Early 1900s

Sterling silver brush made by the Webster Company of North Attleboro, MA, founded in 1869. Webster produced elegant wares of sterling silver, such as calling card cases, shoe button hooks, and ice cream goblets. This brush might have been a clothes brush as part of a vanity grooming set or possibly a hairbrush for a child. Its soft bristles are mounted into a wooden holder clad with silver, which is decorated with delicate beading along the scalloped edges and with stripes incised across the body. A center rectangle is meant to be engraved with the owner's monogram. The Webster Company's distinctive mark — a "W" and "Co" pierced by an arrow — is stamped on one edge beside the word "sterling." Lovely reminder of the days when fashionable ladies and gents took pride in their silver grooming accessories and a beautiful addition to a collection of antique silver.

Vintage MidCentury Glass Piggy Coin Bank – Made By Riihimäen Lasi, Finland

Charming clear glass piggy bank made by Riihimäen Lasi, a glassworks founded in Riihimäki, Finland, in 1910 and once the largest glass manufacturer in the country. Riihimäen Lasi attracted top design talent and was renowned for its wide range of simple, yet elegant products. This little piggy bank has the clean lines and graceful shape so evocative of Nordic modern style at midcentury. And it is distinguished by a host of delightful details: a bottle-like snout, peaked ears, almond-shaped eyes, molded "hairs" along its surface, and a curly molded tail. The coin slot on the pig's back has frosted ends, with one made slightly elongated. Excellent example of midcentury design and a lovely addition to a collection of modern glass.

Vintage Ilmenau Graf von Henneberg Porcelain Coffee Set – Real Cobalt With Textured Gold Finish

Exquisite fine porcelain coffee service made by Graf von Henneberg Porcelain, a pottery founded in 1777 in the beautiful town of Ilmenau in eastern Germany. The set — a coffee server, creamer, and sugar bowl — has a regal shape, with curvaceous handles, spouts, and finials. The body is finished in a glossy glaze of genuine cobalt complemented with a textured gold. The bottoms bear a backstamp that the company used between 1934 and 1949. It features a crown above the pottery's name, which refers to a noble family — the Princely Counts of Henneberg — that ruled the region around Ilmenau until the 16th century. The base also includes the words "Echt Kobalt," meaning "genuine cobalt," and hand numbering. This elegant set reflects the proud tradition of Old World craftsmanship and the pleasure German culture takes in serving coffee. It would look stunning on a dining room sideboard or in a china vitrine and make after-dinner coffee a special treat.

Neuschwanstein Castle Sculpture – Lenox Great Castles of the World Collection

Hand crafted sculpture of the famous Neuschwanstein castle, built by King Ludwig II in the Bavarian Alps between 1869 and 1886. It was issued in 1994 as part of the Great Castles of the World collection by Lenox, America's oldest and most prestigious porcelain company. The so-called "Fairy Tale King" Ludwig envisioned Neuschwanstein as a romantic fantasy of medieval courtly life, and this cold-cast porcelain replica captures its magic. Modeled in painstaking detail by sculptor Ron Spicer, the castle rises from a thicket of snow-dusted evergreen trees, with its turrets and chimneys soaring to the sky. The textured, hand-painted façade reproduces the brick exterior, which is liberally pierced with rows of windows and punctuated with balconies. Even the tile seams are outlined on the turquoise blue roof. The sculpture is set on a display platform, suggesting the way the castle perches on its mountain ridge. The bottom is covered in felt to protect your tabletop or shelf. For those who have visited Neuschwanstein, this model is an evocative reminder of that one-of-a-kind landmark. For those who have not, perhaps this sculpture will provide transportation for the imagination.

Crystal Paperweight Engraved With Flag Design – By Crystal Signatures, Bethlehem, PA

Exquisite cube of sparkling clear crystal created by Crystal Signatures, a company founded in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 1997. Fluttering across all six surfaces of the cube are the stars and stripes of a flag, so that an engraved design is visible from every orientation. The piece was designed by Peter Yenawine, an award-winning artist who has designed crystal for many of the world's most famous glass houses, such as Steuben, Baccarat, Orrefors, and Swarovski, as well as for the White House. Weighing about 1-1/2 pounds, the cube makes a striking paperweight or a beautiful decorative accent, especially when placed where it catches light.
