| Hey everyone, I'm new to Ecrater. I just opened up my store a couple days ago and am still in the middle of exploring it all. I only have five items up but will be putting more up really soon. If anyone has any tips, advice or suggestions I'd be more than happy to hear them. |

Fix your category
currently you have Jewelry/handmade/pendants/necklaces all jamed together.
Make a main category called Jewelry
then have a subcategory called Handmade Pendants
and another subcategory called Handmade Necklaces
(assuming those are two different things)
Your titles are all exactly the same. "Unique Pendant Creation"
(they look like necklaces in teh pics to me)
Isn't a pendant a pin brooch type thing? heck if I know
With yout titles being exactly the same .. you wont' know which one the buyer bought. You might want to add an inventory number or something to the end of the title
BUT even more important ... ADD Keywords to tyour title and descriptions.
Add words that shoppers will search if they were looking for your product to the TITLE and description.
EXAMPLE -
Unique Blue Paper Mache Pendant Necklace Creation Handmade Art Jewelry 101
(101 would be your inventory number) |

OH I wanted to say ... your store name is mywonderland82
but your store logo says Unique Pendant Creations
shoppers will find this very confusing and will have difficulty trying to come back to your store because they won't remember the name (which is in your URL .. www.mywonderland82.ecrater.com |

| My email has been Mywonderland82 but I wanted the title to be Unique Pendant Creation.....what can I do to make it less confusing. |

Make your store name your store name.
You set up your ecrater store as mywonderland82
if you want it to be UniquePendantCreation
you need to either pay to have it changed OR close it and open a new store.
Your email address don't have anything to do with your store name. |

Welcome to ecrater.
Your titles will bring you no sales. Start them with item specific key words and finish with unique pendant creation if you feel it is important, but it doesn't really say much except that it is a pendant. i.e. Blue paper mache with white rose handmade pendant on hemp cord.
Another thing I noticed is that you have them on 8 inch cords. I think you mean 16 inch. If I were you I'd add 2 inches to that to increase sales. In this obese world we live in, a 16 inch cord will choke a lot of people. |

| Thanx for the advice...however..I'm not sure how to change my store name or where to get the info to do that. @ bigtallmensclothing, would you know what I could do, as in, contact ecrater if I do have to pay? I would hate to close and open a new store after all the work I've done to put the pendants up....But if I'm not going to get anywhere I might just have to do that. |

You can do all the editing except change your store name. For that you have to use the contact form at the bottom of the ecrater sign in page. They will tell you the cost and how to pay.
To edit your listings you just click on the pencil on the right side of the listing when you are in your admin area. You make all changes in the admin. Make sure you click update after you finish each listing.
If you still only have 5 items listed, it won't take long to copy and paste them to a new store. If you have added a lot of items then perhaps it is better to pay for a name change. |
